A combination of personality, determination, and sheer strength helped launch Arnold Schwarzenegger from the top of the bodybuilding world to Hollywood stardom and even to political power as the governor of California.
Back in 1995, Good ol’ Arnie joins a hoard of bikers on the back of their motorcycles as he participates in the Planet Hollywood Ride for Children fundraiser.
Jason Momoa
Jason Momoa loves motorbikes so much that he named one of his favorite vintage Harleys after his grandmother. It has a ton of sentimental value because it was his first bike which he bought when he was 19. Mabel is a 1956 Harley-Davidson Panhead with a 1948 front end.
It is featured in his 2014 movie "Road to Paloma." Mabel is housed in the actor’s Iowa hometown. Momoa is a serious gearhead and actually travels back there just to visit her.
Tyson Beckford
The Ralph Lauren supermodel Tyson Beckford showcases his masculinity straddling one of his many two-wheeled beasts. A Ducati, in fire engine red, was his most prized possession. In 2017 someone swiped it from his home garage!
On Facebook, he addressed the thief, warning the thief that Miami police were on the case. “We will find you! Don’t think you will get away with this.”
Tom Cruise
This A-lister loves his motorcycles. Tom Cruise owns a Vyrus, the most expensive motorcycle brand in the world. A single bike costs $100K-$400K and travels at the speed of light. Well, close enough.
It’s the fastest motorbike in the world with 200 HP under the seat. He also owns a Ducati or two, another pricey speed demon that clocks in at 179 mph. For the record, that’s about 15 mph slower than his Vyrus.
Justin Timberlake
Guess who rides a Hog? Justin Timberlake has been tooling around LA on his custom Harley-Davidson since 2009. With its shiny chrome machinery gleaming as bright as his half lid, he should be easy to spot.
He owns a garage full of high-end automobiles, with his bike completing his collection. Timberlake is not a true gearhead, but at least he threw a motorbike into his assemblage.
Katee Sackhoff
It seems fitting that Katee Sackhoff, one of the nerdiest geeks and one of our faves from "Battlestar Galactica" as Starbuck, rides a bike. Sackhoff's machine is a gearhead’s dream. She had Moto Customs make it, and it is one sleek beast.
They started with a Honda XR650L and built around it, souping it up with a Yamaha front end, a Ducati rear wheel, a single-sided swingarm, and a custom stainless exhaust. Now that's one sweet ride!
Michael Fassbender
Michael Fassbender took a well-needed tour of Europe by motorcycle with his father in 2011. After he completed six films in just 20 months, they trekked 5,000 miles across the continent. The "X-Men" star braved the track for the first time in 2014.
He rode a Honda CBR600RR and said that it’s a lot different than riding the road. Fassbender owned a Triumph Speed Triple, which was unfortunately stolen, and a BMW R1200GS. He loves bikes. Fassbender even starred in a UK biker film called "Man on a Motorcycle" (2009).
George Clooney
George Clooney used to be a huge motorcycle enthusiast until his near-fatal crash in Italy. Clooney opened up in 2019 and said, “I hit him at 70 miles per hour, so it was bad.” When he crashed into the car that cut in front of him, he was thrown 20 feet. Following his accident, he announced that his wife Amal told him he was “not allowed to ride” anymore.
Clooney auctioned off his prized black Harley-Davidson touring bike to charity. Fun fact: Guess who else quit bikes after a crash? In 1966, after releasing "Blonde on Blonde," Bob Dylan crashed his Triumph and decided to stop riding.
P!nk
This motorcycle enthusiast is married to former motocross racer Carey Hart, so she knows a thing or two about riding. The pop singer owns a custom Triumph, which she adores, and others that her hubby custom-built for her.
Bikes are big in her life. Her husband proposed to her on the pit board during one of his races.
Christian Bale
Christian Bale has a metal plate in parts of his arm and wrist due to one biking mishap. He’s been in several wrecks and has suffered a concussion or two, but none of this has stopped him from riding.
In the terrible accident that mutilated his arm, he damaged every nerve in that limb. The nerves all grew back because, as he put it, the body is “phenomenal.” The "Batman" actor is into racing bikes and loves to fly full throttle. He owns more than one Ducati.
Olivia Munn
Olivia Munn has been into motorcycles forever because her brothers owned a custom bike shop when she was growing up. She loves her Harley but would only take it out when she felt it was safe to ride, between 2 am and 4 am.
Her friends teased her relentlessly, so she took her chopper out at midday. She was spooked by heavy daytime traffic and turned around to head home. On the way back, she spotted a coyote and freaked out. She skidded and tipped over. The "Magic Mike" star has the scar to prove it.
Brad Pitt
According to "Vogue UK," Brad Pitt’s preferred method of transportation is by motorcycle. Usually, he’s on his BMW 1200 GS, but he has a collection to choose from. He sunk some serious green into a vintage WWII bike and owns pricey rides like the Ecosse Titanium Series XX.
He owns a Ducati, a Yamaha R1, and a hand-built Indian Larry custom chopper. What does he love best about bikes? Outrunning the paparazzi, of course!
David Beckham
David Beckham's Triumph is called DBSC British Customs. The famous footballer asked the iconic motorcycle manufacturer to modify a Triumph Bonneville T100 just for him, so they created the exclusive DBSC.
We don't know how much he paid for it and the model is not for sale to the general public. It features rugged off-road parts and the company's vintage look. In the 2014 BBC documentary, "Into the Unknown," Beckham rides the back roads of Brazil.
Marisa Miller
Marisa Miller adores her Harley-Davidson, and the American Hog manufacturer feels the same about her. The supermodel was featured in a super hip and sensual ad campaign for the motorcycle company when the Victoria's Secret Angel became the face of H-D in 2008.
Specifically, she was pictured straddling the V-Rod Muscle Harley, making her the company’s first spokesperson. One of those V-Rods was comped to her, part of the deal, naturally.
Stephen King
When "Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter approached Stephen King with a part in his series, King jumped at the opportunity. It was a sweet deal that only got sweeter when he found out he’d get to ride a bright red H-D Road-Glide.
On his website, the author described the bike as, “A little tricked-out for my taste, and if I’d dropped it I never would have been able to pick it up, but I would have been glad to take it home (sadly, no deal)." Darn! Not every story has a happy ending - especially when it comes to Stephen King.
Clint Eastwood
We saw Clint Eastwood riding the open road in several films. His personal favorites were the Norton and Triumph. Eastwood had a special place in his heart for his Norton Ranger.
In the 1968 "Coogan’s Bluff," the famous actor rode a Triumph Bonneville. Off-camera he was more of a casual motorcyclist.
Ryan Gosling
Ryan Gosling has a deep love of motorbikes, so he was more than happy to star in "The Place Beyond the Pines" as a carnival stuntman-turned-bank robber. The ex-carny applied his rip-roaring biking skills to make his escape with the loot.
Gosling performed all his own stunts virtually, only bowing out when the insurance company gave him the red light. As a kid, Gosling was fascinated with bikes. He told Jay Leno in 2011 that he became strangely enamored with motorcycles after witnessing one crash as he was walking to school.
Kid Rock
Kid Rock maintains a sweet collection of automobiles ranging from a Shelby Mustang to a beautiful Bugatti. The Kid also loves motorcycles, especially H-Ds. You can bet he has a few Hogs in his garage, so when Harley-Davidson presented a sponsorship, he was all in.
The ad campaign coordinated with Kid Rock’s 2013 “Rebel Soul” rock tour. In the deal, Kid even sold the American centenarian motorbike company a line from one of his songs: “I can’t hear you over the rumble of my freedom.”
Joshua Jackson
Joshua Jackson has a penchant for the open road. Between TV and film projects, he packs up his touring bike and hits the highway for weeks at a time. One of his personal bikes is a Triumph.
So, when he starred in "One Week," a story about a man who road trips across Canada on his Triumph for a week, it was the perfect role. In the Canadian film, Jackson plays a character who decides to live free his last week instead of cancer treatment.
Ewan McGregor
A-lister Ewen McGregor is a serious gearhead. His favorite bike is a custom Indian Larry designed by the famous motorcycle master himself before Larry was killed in a bike show stunt in 2004. The younger Obi-Wan Kenobi actor embarked on the perfect project when he and good buddy Charley Boorman teamed up to produce the British TV series "Long Way Round."
The documentary-like program follows bike enthusiasts as they travel from London to New York by hopping a flight in the far reaches of Asia to Alaska. They traveled a mountainous 22,345 miles.
John Travolta
John Travolta was thrilled to star in "Wild Hogs," a movie about four midlife crisis buddies from suburbia taking off on Harleys. Travolta got into bikes as soon as he got his first paycheck in Hollywood. It was an inexpensive and, of course, a very cool way to zip around town.
Before the film, Travolta cruised his hog with the H-D Daytona Bike League biker club. Travolta, playing Woody, rode a Screamin’ Eagle Fat Boy. Harley-Davidson comped all the bikes. Tim Allen’s was a Black Fat Boy, Martin Lawrence rode a Springer Softail, and William H. Macy got the Sportster Custom.
Charlie Hunnam
As tough-guy Jax Teller on the biker television series "Sons of Anarchy," Charlie Hunnam plays the club's boss. He rides a Harley Dyna Super Glide. As it turned out, that’s the exact motorbike he cruised before he starred in SOA.
He kind of wishes he didn’t have to ride the same bike he owns because he didn’t want to be that guy who rides around town on the same Harley he rode on TV. But there’s nothing that can be done since that Super Glide is the best bike there is, according to Hunnam.
Norman Reedus
"The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus is mad about bikes. He doesn’t just ride the same one as Daryl on the horror TV series; he collects them in real life. Then, in 2016, he launched his own series, a motorcycle documentary called "Ride with Norman Reedus," He hits the road with various celebs.
An Indian Larry chopper is his absolute fave, but his collection includes Triumph bikes, a Ducati, and a custom Harley. If he could ride with anyone, anywhere, he said it would be through Rome with Cher (surprise surprise, Cher's a gearhead herself).
Hugh Laurie
"House" star Hugh Laurie has a fondness for motorcycles and loves the thrill of the ride. The British actor stores his Triumph Bonneville in his Los Angeles garage and has another at home in London.
The legendary motorbike company originated in 1885 and built the “Trusty Triumph” for the war effort during WWII. The classic motorcycle continues to be coveted by celebs and motorcycle enthusiasts alike.
Keanu Reeves
Keanu Reeves loves motorcycles so much he says he goes through withdrawals if he doesn’t get to ride. He even has his own company—Arch Motorcycle. It launched with a custom-built prototype by Chop Rods, a Harley-Davidson engine with a bike wrapped around it.
Reeves first learned to ride in the ‘80s. His favorite was a ‘73 Norton Commando that he purchased in 1987. In "My Own Private Idaho," he got to ride a Norton. Reeves loves the sound of the bike, the smell of the engine, and the wind in his face. The actor admits to topping out at 135 mph!
Cher
In a Tweet from 2018, Cher confirmed her long-standing love of motorcycles and bikers. Her first ride was on a Harley when she was 14. She shared a story about when she hopped on the back of one of those Harleys with extended Apehanger handlebars wearing shorts and high heels.
She said the rider was a “sweet” guy, and he rode her around for about 15 minutes. Here she is pictured on a Hog at a Rejoice on Rodeo (Drive) Christmas parade.
Alanis Morissette
Alanis Morrisette has a sweet spot in her heart for Ducati. She’s been spotted cruising the streets of LA on her Ducati Monster S4RS.
It’s a beautiful beast that is upholstered in black leather and gleams bright with sparkling chrome.
Jay Leno
We all know about Jay Leno’s amazing and extensive car collection, so it makes sense that he would have one of the largest and most diverse motorcycle collections. His garage holds over 90 bikes! He even owns a jet-powered motorcycle.
A vintage Vincent is one of his favorites. Of course, he boasts a Ducati or two, but he also owns a 1924 Ace Motorcycle XP4, a 1939 Brough Superior, and a BSA DBD3 4 Gold Star, brands that didn’t outlive the 20th century. Only Indian and Harley survived, and of course, he owns more than one of each.
Ryan Reynolds
Ryan Reynolds’ motorcycle collection is pretty impressive too. His fondness for Triumph bikes is clearly apparent. His favorite is a 1964 Custom Triumph 650. He also has a Triumph Speed Twin, a Triumph Tiger 800, a Triumph Street Triple, and a Triumph Factory Custom.
Reynolds holds a range of bike makes and models. He learned to ride in 1975 on a Honda and has never looked back. Of his collection, he says he rides them all and prefers a bike over a car any day.
Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper is another Triumph enthusiast. On the luxury end, he prefers his red Thruxton Triumph.
He knows how to ride and is spotted cruising up and down the coast of California. Whenever he shoots abroad, Cooper requests Triumph bikes.
Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie got a red MV Augusta for her 35th birthday from then-hubby Brad Pitt. Even though she knew how to ride, it took her some time to harness the large and powerful machine. To put it lightly, she likes bikes.
Jolie bought one for herself as an early Christmas gift, an MV Agusta Brutale, in 2003. It was the same model she rode in "Gone in 60 Seconds." In "Tomb Raider," she zipped around on a CCM 644. She did some of her own stunts on those bikes with a little training from her stuntman.
Orlando Bloom
Orlando Bloom loves buzzing around town on his motorcycle. His preference is a BMW S1000R. He liked it so much that he had the company customize one for him. He’s also got a Husqvarna 1903, a unique ride built by a hundred-plus-year-old Swedish company that made guns before they manufactured motorbikes.
Bloom’s taste in bikes is interesting, but all anyone can discuss is his engagement with Katy Perry and their new baby, and little Mighty. Bloom’s fluffy brown pooch is just the right size for a backpack and rides with the "Lord of the Rings" actor everywhere he goes.
Marlon Brando
Marlon Brando was badass before the word was even invented. His rebellious mien—black leather jacket, jeans, and a captain’s hat shaped the American biker image. When he starred in "The Wild Ones," he rode his own bike, a Triumph Thunderbird. His performance epitomized his generation’s brand of cool.
It was Brando who introduced the idea that riding is synonymous with freedom, a concept yet central to H-D’s adverts. Favoring Triumphs, Marlon owned only one Harley-Davidson. It was a 1969 Electra Glide. It sold at auction for $256,000 in 2015.
Richard Hammond
Richard Hammond is a long-time motorcycle enthusiast and an avid collector. His garage holds at least 20 bikes, both vintage and contemporary. Hammond’s been a gearhead since day one.
His first show, "Used Bike Heaven," aired in oblivion on a small satellite channel. His work on "Top Gear" has transformed him into a fully credentialed gearhead. His collection holds several Ducatis, clearly his affinity. His favorite is the 900 SuperSport.
Bear Grylls
Bear Grylls has been hooked on bikes since he was 16 years old. The nature adventure TV host owns his fair share of motorcycles. He likes Triumph so well that he starred in a commercial for the Triumph Tiger.
Grylls is a survival instructor who served in the British special forces as a SAS before hosting "Man vs. Wild." The UK loves him. He was appointed Chief Scout of the UK in 2009, the youngest ever.
Bob Dylan
Before Bob Dylan crashed his Triumph, he was an avid rider. The incident happened on the winding roads just outside of Woodstock in 1966. He is suspected of having broken his neck, but the truth has been buried since then; no one knows what really happened.
All we know is that he quit recording albums for three years, and then his music style changed drastically. But he hasn’t given up bikes completely. Dylan was spotted in 2004 riding a Harley-Davidson.
Usher
The elusive pop musician Usher, who, sources say, secretly dated supermodel Naomi Campbell is known to ride. He’s been spotted on a brand-new green Ducati in NYC. He also owns a custom Darwin bike based on a Brawler GT. Yes, it’s fast.
Usher was photographed, pictured here, riding the orange-trimmed bike through Beverly Hills after leaving Barney’s. Not many people can pull off riding a performance bike in a suit.
Johnny Hallyday
When Johnny Hallyday passed away in 2017 at 74, everyone, even French President Emmanuel Macron, recognized him. Macron said that the musician, AKA “the French Elvis,” credited for bringing rock and roll to France, “transcended generations and is etched in the memory of the French people.”
As a tribute to Hallyday’s love of motorbikes, 1,000 motorcycles attended his funeral procession through the Champs-Élysées, where almost one million mourners gathered. Hallyday was an H-D man known for cruising his Harley out to the desert from his LA home. But his collection included European brands and also Ducati, Honda, and Kawasaki bikes.
Dean McDermott
Dean McDermott and wife Tory Spelling have hit some dark places financially. But that didn’t stop McDermott from buying a brand-new Harley-Davidson Victory. It’s a beauty! The $20,000 ride is pearl white with black trim. It’s surprising that he still likes bikes at all after his crash in 2010.
Then, he went dirt biking with his friends and ended up in the ICU with a collapsed lung and a lot of bruising from hitting his chest when he was pitched onto the handlebars. In a Tweet, McDermott announced that his dirt biking days were over.
James Dean
Marlon Brando’s image was often labeled “rebel without a cause,” but James Dean played the part. As Jim Stark in the iconic film where he is forever enshrined, Dean drove a ’49 Mercury Coupe. Dean loved cars. He was on the way to a race when he crashed his Porsche Spyder and died. But he also loved bikes.
He got his first motorcycle for his 16th birthday and was soon known for racing full throttle. He owned a Norton, an Indian, and a Harley. The bike he’s pictured with often is a Triumph Trophy, chosen in deference to Brando.
Adam Levine
Maroon 5’s frontman Adam Levine is a Triumph fan. The folks over at "Top Gear" studied Levine’s Instagram page and speculated he rides a T100 or a T120 Bonneville. He used to have a Harley-Davidson 48 until he gave it away.
One lucky fan took it home in a Maroon 5 contest to promote their third album. Levine got plenty of publicity in 2019 when his band rocked the Super Bowl halftime show.
Wyclef Jean
The “Haitian sensation” made an impression on his 43rd birthday posing with his brand-new patriotic Ducati. Wyclef Jean showcased the red, white, and blue motorcycle on Instagram, wearing nothing but a scarlet Speedo.
He also owned a totally outrageous Spiderman chopper bike. It’s an OC Choppers custom build that’s got ape hanger handlebars and a front end that stretches out on super-long extended forks. He sold his Spidey bike back to the shop, so if you want to see it, check it out at the OCC museum.
Jesse Metcalfe
"Desperate Housewives" actor Jesse Metcalfe is a Harley-Davidson man. His custom H-D Rocker looks sweet in candy apple red. Metcalfe kicked off his riding hobby in 2007 with the 2008 Rocker.
Customization includes an engine upgrade, drag bars, and a Heartland leather seat. A 2002 West Coast Chopper is another of his cruising options. He is also the proud owner of a vintage 1957 Triumph Thunderbird, fully restored and very classy.
Steve McQueen
Steve McQueen was the King of Cool; there’s no other way around it. He was a total gearhead and did most of his own stunts. In "The Great Escape," he rode a black modified TR6 Trophy. When it came time for the daring motorcycle jump, his insurance company said no way. McQueen did the stunt off-camera anyway, just for the fun of it.
McQueen was the unwritten face of Triumph. But he loved his 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross so much that he owned four, just in case. The actor also held a unique collection of original bikes from the early 1910s and 1920s.
Clark Gable
If you haven’t heard of Clark Gable, perhaps you’ll recognize one of the most famous Hollywood lines ever uttered on the silver screen: “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.” "Gone With the Wind" was just one of his major roles, and the heartthrob from the Golden Age of Hollywood was an early motorbike enthusiast.
He proudly rode his 1942 H-D Knuckle Head at breakneck speeds. He also owned a 1934 Harley-Davidson. Gable once remarked that out of all of the perks in Hollywood, riding his Harley was the best.
David Blaine
Illusionist David Blaine was most recently spotted in the skies of Arizona dangling from a colorful bunch of helium balloons. So, it’s no surprise the daredevil likes to travel by motorcycle.
The New Yorker owns a sleek BMW bike and has been seen cruising the streets of the Big Apple when he’s not performing extreme daredevil tricks.
Dax Shepard
Crashing twice on the set of "CHiPs" didn’t stop Dax Shepard from performing his own stunts. Playing a California Highway Patrolman motorcycle officer, Shepard was in his element. He has been around bikes since he was a toddler and started riding dirt bikes when five. He stopped dirt biking after the time he hit some tree stumps and got launched.
He broke every tendon in his shoulder and lost part of his clavicle. But he loves motorcycles and has a collection that includes a Suzuki GSX-R1000 and three Ducatis—a Hypermotard, a Multistrada, and a Sport 1000 Monoposoto.
Tim Allen
In "Wild Hogs," Tim Allen had to learn how to ride a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. The massive bike was unwieldy, and he dropped the Hog several times. Costar John Travolta still teases him. Allen explained that he was used to Triumphs and lighter bikes. In the end, he learned to love the comfort of a touring bike and purchased a Brawler GT cruiser.
The exclusive bike was placed at the 2010 World Championship in Sturgis. It was hand-built by Dar Holdsworth and the Darwin Motorcycle team. Designed on an H-D FXR and powered by the trademark V-twin, it’s a rumbling yet cushy ride.
Hunter S. Thompson
Hunter S. Thompson tagged along with the Hell’s Angels outlaw motorcycle club to write a documentary on the subculture. He rode with them for a year until he got kicked out for suggesting a member not beat his wife. The iconic journalist published his experience in his book, "Hell’s Angels."
In one passage, Thompson describes the exhilaration of flying atop a bike at top speed. “You can barely see a hundred; the tears blow back so fast that they vaporize before they get to your ears. The only sounds are the wind and the dull roar floating back from the mufflers.”
Adrian Brody
Adrian Brody was a teenager when he got his first bike. The Ninja ZX900 was the young Brody’s preferred mode of transportation. He upgraded to a Royal Enfield bike after he got to ride one through the backroads of India in "The Darjeeling Express."
The Oscar-winning actor nearly killed himself when he was flung off his Enfield head-first into the sidewalk. But when his buddy gifted him a Ducati Monster 900, the actor didn’t hesitate to hop back on.
Adrian Grenier
It was a good thing that "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier already knew how to handle a bike. Grenier mounted this Hog when his character had to navigate the beast for a shot at Urth Caffé in West Hollywood.
In real life, he likes getting around town on two wheels. But don’t call him a petrolhead; Grenier commandeers a USA-built Evolve 100% electric bike.
Pamela Anderson
One year before Pamela Anderson landed her first gig on "Home Improvement" in 1991, she was pictured here wearing a Canadian tuxedo as she rides on a Yamaha bike for an event.
Her love for motorcycles is actually well-documented. She's been seen riding a Triumph motorcycle, and there are also pictures of her on a Honda Valkyrie Rune as well. Since both Triumph and Honda make great bikes, we can only say that Pamela has great taste in motorcycles.
Jewel
We haven't seen a lot of Jewel lately, maybe because she likes to travel across the United States while riding her motorcycle. Once, in an interview, she said that while driving a car, she is able to think about various things and even about new songs, but when it comes to a motorcycle ride, she is focused 100%.
She mentioned that she likes the feeling of living in the present that a bike ride offers, as well as enjoying the vista. Who would have thought she was so passionate about motorcycles?
Ludacris
Way back in 2007, Harley-Davidson collaborated with Ludacris and his Disturbing Tha Peace crew to do a little something for the kids. Together, the Ludacris Foundation and the Milwaukee motorcycle masters hosted events and even auctioned off a Harley-Davidson to better raise funds for underprivileged children.
Such a good deed, but something rubbed off on Ludacris: a craving for his own Harley. Fast-forward to a few years later, and he got a customized Harley motorcycle of his own.
Christie Brinkley
An effervescent blonde, Christie Brinkley became one of the world's most successful supermodels, gracing the cover of more than 500 magazines worldwide, from "Sports Illustrated" to "Cosmopolitan." Christie Brinkley rides a motorcycle with her then race-car driver boyfriend, Olivier Chandon, in 1982.
As talented as she was beautiful, the blue-eyed beauty managed to parlay her success into several other pursuits and ventures; as an artist and photographer, her work graced album covers and appeared in numerous publications.
Fats Domino
Antoine Dominique, also known as "Fats" Domino, was a famous American pianist and singer-songwriter. He was one of the pioneers of rock and roll music, a rhythm-and-blues star who helped define the New Orleans sound.
Between 1955 and 1960, he had eleven Top 10 hits, and Domino sold more than 65 million records. His humility and shyness may be one reason his contribution to the genre has been overlooked. Here he is on a Dax Honda motorbike in France in 1980.
The Jackson Family
Here is Michael Jackson rocking his Honda mini-bike as he posed with the rest of the Jackson family at their home in California in 1971. These mini-bikes can travel up to 65 mph, not bad for such a small bike!
Way back when this photo was taken, the Jackson Five were at the height of their fame, having just released "I Want You Back" in 1970, it went on to top the Billboard Hot 100.
Paul Simonon and Steve Jones
Paul Simonon of the Clash and Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols rode motorcycles together in 1987. They are both looking pretty hardcore in their Harleys and leather jackets.
Apparently, these two liked to take motorcycling trips together to the Mojave desert. How we wish we could join!
Josh Brolin
Despite being born to successful film actor James Brolin, Josh's childhood in provincial Templeton, California, kept him separated from the Hollywood experience. But by the time he was a teen, however, Brolin had begun his own acting career, and we now know him from his many leading roles, from "The Goonies" to "Guardians of the Galaxy," where he played Thanos.
Here we have a picture of Josh Brolin when he attended a motorcycle ride to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association in 1988.
Elvis Presley
Along with being a key figure in Rock and Roll, the world's most recognizable entertainer, an actor, and the man who put peanut butter and banana sandwiches on the map, Elvis was a huge gearhead, so naturally, he loved motorcycles and had a pretty impressive personal collection.
Here he is on the set of "Clambake" in 1976, riding a classic Harley Davidson. His preference was always for a Harley FLH touring bike, but he also dabbled in Triumphs, Hondas, and even 70s-era VW-powered trikes over the years.
Lenny Kravitz
A maestro in the style of Marvin Gaye and Jimi Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz became one of the modern era's great rock stars on the power of his supreme talent, with a touch of vintage-yet-modern, new-Bohemian ethos.
Here we have lovely Lenny as he gets his picture taken on a motorcycle in 1996; he looks effortlessly chic; only Lenny can make orange look so good.
Elizabeth Taylor
With the debatable exception of Marilyn Monroe, no other actress from Hollywood's Golden Age had such a lasting hold on the people's imagination than the violet-eyed siren Elizabeth Taylor.
Did you know that style icon Elizabeth Taylor loved riding motorcycles and even owned a Harley? Here she attended a motorcycle rally in New Jersey back in 1987.
Dan Aykroyd
Dan Aykroyd once said in an interview, "My Harley-Davidson is a form of therapy. You get on that, and you don’t need a shrink. When you’re on the bike, all you’re doing is concentrating on staying alive. You get into the rhythm of the road, and it’s quite zen."
Here we see Dan going for a therapeutic ride in 1988 on his cruiser motorcycle. Is it just me, or do celebrities not like to wear helmets?
Sammy Davis Jr.
Sammy Davis Jr. is widely regarded as one of the greatest showmen of the 20th century; being the entertainment legend that he is, his career quite literally spanned a lifetime.
Here we have a photograph of Sammy Davis Jr. in 1970 as he arrives at an event in a snakeskin suit, with his old faithful right behind him.
Arnold Schwarzenegger
A combination of personality, determination, and sheer strength helped launch Arnold Schwarzenegger from the top of the bodybuilding world to Hollywood stardom and even to political power as the governor of California.
Back in 1995, Good ol' Arnie joins a hoard of bikers on the back of their motorcycles as he participates in the Planet Hollywood Ride for Children fundraiser.
Jean-Claude Van Damme
The Muscles from Brussels, Jean-Claude Van Damme, gave quite a show to the crowd when he burst onto the red carpet with his Harley-Davidson in 1994.
He quite literally embodied an action movie hero, so why not take his motorcycle for a ride down the red carpet?
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
In recent times, Forbes reported Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the highest-paid actor in the world, earning approximately $64.5 million in a single year. This is probably because he’s managed to dominate everything that he does. Seeing as he’s the face of almost everything else, why not be the face of triumph too?
Here he is on one of the most powerful motorbikes ever made. This Triumph Rocket III has the biggest production motorcycle engine ever made. Pretty appropriate, right?
Mark Wahlberg
Mark Wahlberg has built his career on the fact that he's a genuine guy who's got to where he is with hard work and commitment.
He's a man of the people in many respects as he hasn't embraced being a celebrity like the Kardashians might. His laid-back jeans and plain white shirt attitude landed him an ambassador role for Indian Motorcycle Company. Something he admits he's hugely honored about.
Salman Khan
The “Man of Bollywood,” Salman Khan is also the face of Suzuki and the future of motorcycling. With almost 25 million Twitter followers, twice that of Dwayne Johnson. Khan has been the face of Suzuki in India for several years, and now his celebrity status is propelling the representation of motorcycling across the globe.
Khan has a charming collection of motorcycles, including a totally customized blue and white Suzuki GSX-R1000Z - The king of high-speed performance motorbikes.
Gerard Butler
It should come as no surprise that one of the most iconic action stars of the last couple of decades is a big fan of motorbikes. But his hobby nearly cost him his life in 2017, when he experienced a pretty horrific crash. The "300" star was paralyzed and ended up winning a $5.25 million lawsuit against a woman found guilty of causing the crash.
Since then, Butler has gotten back on his bike, as seen here. He loves a wide range of models, from Indian Motorcycles and Triumphs to Bonneville and Street Twins. Here, we can see Butler enjoying himself on a Thruxton.
Tom Hardy
Tom Hardy is renowned for trying out new things and taking risks. This applies both in his movie roles and on the road. Here, we can see the man who played Bane and Venom riding (or at least posing on) a Street Triple RS. Whatever the case may be, he certainly looks the part.
Typically, the actor can be seen on the streets of London riding a Mutt on his CBT License. Hardy has also been spotted riding bikes like the Custom Triumph Street Scrambler and a Triumph Thruxton. So if you're doing some sightseeing around the streets of England's capital, you might just spot him.
Matthew McConaughey
It makes perfect sense that Matthew McConaughey would be riding a triumph. After all, he has had a pretty triumphant career over the last couple of decades, winning Oscars and starring in prestige TV shows like "True Detective." When he isn't working, he loves nothing more than riding a Triumph Thunderbird Sport.
The Texas star is very much a motorbike enthusiast and also has been known to ride Harley-Davidsons in his time. Not to mention the motorcycle-based charity events he has been involved in. You can just imagine Matthew riding down the freeway playing "Slow Ride" on full blast and saying "Alright, Alright, Alright."
Ben Affleck
When you are as much of a household name as Ben Affleck is, it's perfectly reasonable to invest in a few motorcycles with all of that fame and fortune. The man who played Batman has owned numerous bikes in his heyday. But there is no denying that the one he's been seen the most on is the BMW S1000RR, one of his prized possessions.
When the actor turned 48th, his girlfriend at the time bought him a custom-built BMW Cafe Racer, titled "The Defender." Affleck is also an owner of Harley's electric Livewire project. So yeah, you can very much call him a bike buff.
Gordon Ramsay
He might be better known for cooking up storms and biting the heads off of his contestants in "Hell's Kitchen," but Gordon Ramsay loves nothing more than soaring down the freeway in a motorcycle of his choosing. Here, we can see Ramsay riding a motorbike in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, while filming the show "Gordon's Great Escape."
When you consider how fiery Gordon can get, this really is the perfect pastime for him to blow off some steam. The chef/TV personality has a Honda Fireblade, a Ducati 748, a Yamaha R1, and many more in his garage. The man loves his bikes!
Meatloaf
It's sad to think that the man known as Meatloaf is no longer with us. The late musician/actor was a real legend of his time. And the "Bat Out of Hell" singer loved nothing more than hopping on a bike a singing to the top of his lungs while riding down the freeway.
While his vast collection of motorcycles is somewhat shrouded in mystery, Meatloaf was known to love Harley-Davidsons and had many of them. Not to mention the many custom-built bikes he had made for him. When you consider the fact that the album cover for "Bat Out of Hell" is of a demon shooting out a cemetery on a motorcycle, it all makes perfect sense.
Ringo Starr
He might not seem like the most action-loving individual, but Ringo Starr has ridden many a bike in his time. The drummer of The Beatles can be seen here riding a bike with his wife Barbara Bach down Bond Street, London.
To be honest, there is a lot more imagery out there of Ringo riding motorcycles than there is information. What we do know is that he is a huge fan of Harley-Davidson, and owns many models. But when it comes to his personal collection, he tends to keep it to himself and only shares it with his closest friends.
Billy Idol
When you think of Billy Idol, it's impossible not to think of that iconic moment in the music video for "White Wedding" when he makes that epic entrance at the chapel on his motorcycle. And it turns out that the rock star is also a big fan of bikes in real life too. For many years now, various bikes have come through his vast collection.
One of his most noteworthy prized possessions is a customized Harley-Davidson Sportster, which has shown up at many of his concerts over the years. Not to mention the fact that Idol has discussed his love for all things bike-related in many interviews.
Eric Bloom
When you are inclined to play a guitar solo on top of a Harley Davidson at your concerts, it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that you are a fan of this mode of transport. Blue Öyster Cult is a band best known for their hit song "(Don't Fear) The Reaper," and Eric Bloom has often displayed huge signs of fearlessness whenever he's mounted one of his beloved bikes.
Beyond Harleys, it is believed that Eric has also owned Triumphs in his heyday, as well as custom-built models. Thankfully, the Reaper never came along to knock Bloom off of one of his beloved bikes.
Robert Carradine
The Carradines are lowkey one of the most interesting families in all of Hollywood. There's the late, great David Carradine, who was the titular Bill in the "Kill Bill" movies. And there's Keith Carradine, who played Penny's dad in "The Big Bang Theory." And there's also Robert Carradine, who is a well-respected actor in his own right.
This photo was taken all the way back in 1977 when Robert showed up to the premiere of his movie "Joyride." Naturally, he came on a motorcycle. Robert has been known to be a huge fan of motorcycles with a pretty extensive collection to his name.
Paul Newman
He might no longer be with us, but there is no denying that Paul Newman is one of the greatest actors ever to grace the Hollywood screens. The star of movies such as "Cool Hand Luke" and "The Hustler" was already enjoying the golden years of his life when he showed up to the Marlboro Grand Prix in 1988 on this adorable little thing.
Truth be told, Newman was a bigger fan of cars than he was of motorbikes. But he adored auto racing and even competed in races such as Le Mans. With all of that said, Newman was believed to have owned a handful of bikes.
Ozzy Osbourne
Most rockers love to hit the road on a motorbike at least once in their life, and Ozzy Osbourne is no different. The "Prince of Darkness" can be seen here sitting on a motorbike outside his LA mansion. The lead singer Black Sabbath has never been shy about his love for motorcycles.
Whether it be custom-built bikes or traditional models like Harley-Davidson and Triumph, Ozzy likes it all. Truth be told though, he doesn't ride bikes so often these days. His son Jack is also a huge fan of bikes.
