Stephanie Hym Bell, who took the stage name Mia Yim, was a childhood fan of pro wrestling and began her training at the age of 18. She entered the independent circuit, debuting for Shimmer Women Athletes and Full Impact Pro in 2013, and later won the TNA Knockouts Championship in 2016.
She entered the WWE’s Mae Young Classic (which she won) and officially signed with the franchise in 2018. Yim was then placed under NXT which she continues to appear on regularly today.
