Miniature chairs tables, miniature people, and even all the teeny tiny accessories that would come with these sets, these things were a joy to examine. Thankfully, these treasures don’t have to remain in the past and now as adults, especially food lovers can still enjoy this. Introducing Rebecca Ackerman, a designer who now dedicates her life to recreating miniature dishes.
You’re Never Too Old
Unfortunately, these beautiful creations are not edible but they do make for wonderful decorations. Made out of clay, these dishes such as like falafel salad, miso clam, or key lime pie are disturbingly deliciously looking. While we might be a little old to spend time hunched over magical toys playing “house”, they’re still a great little addition to the living room. These dishes are great to marvel at, and may even inspire you to whip up some life-sized real-life versions.
So head to the kitchen and make your own idyllic little dollhouse food, that you can serve to humans and eat, of course. It’s the perfect and fun way to indulge in a little bit of child-like nostalgia, while at the same time, whip up some pretty tasty food, you know as grown-ups do. While we all wish we had time to sit and build dollhouses endlessly, we can at least buy them now.
