This look is slightly unusual for Meghan, who typically wears neutral colors or jewel tones, but in this case, the bright fabric made for a chic fashion moment. It’s impossible to take your eyes off this electric blue dress by Veronica Beard, with its refined collar, button-up front, and tie detail on the waist.
The look is perfect for the afternoon, especially when paired with heels in a softer shade of blue and a classic ponytail.
Introducing Baby Sussex
Before the birth of baby Sussex, Meghan took some time away from the public eye, but in early May 2019, she and Prince Harry introduced the world to their newborn son Archie Harrison. She wore a Grace Wales Bonner trench-inspired dress for the occasion, which was belted at the waist and included flap pockets and button details.
She kept the look simple, with only a delicate necklace around her neck and classic nude suede heels from Manolo Blahnik.
Attending the Commonwealth Day Service
For the Commonwealth Day service, Meghan chose a beautiful Victoria Beckham dress that had only recently been seen on the catwalk. The dress featured a rope-print design and was worn with a matching blazer.
Her pillbox white hat was more on the traditional side, reminiscent of the iconic outfits worn by Jackie O. Meghan broke up all the white with olive green pumps and a matching clutch.
Visiting Canada House
Earlier that same morning, the Duchess of Sussex headed to Canada House in a fabulous forest green coat and dress designed by fellow Canadian Erdem.
The coat looked amazing against her skin and the delicate floral embroidery really completed the look. She paired the coat with black Aquazzura pumps and a Givenchy black satin clutch.
International Women's Day
In early March, on her way to a panel for International Women’s Day, Meghan Markle made quite a statement in a black and white 60's style dress.
She looked both young and trendy in this monochrome look and classed it up with a tailored blazer, Stella McCartney clutch, and elegant black Manolo Blahnik heels.
Reception at Buckingham Palace
For a reception at Buckingham Palace in early March, the expectant mother donned an eye-catching gold brocade dress, a rose-colored clutch, nude Paul Andrew heels, and one of her signature white coats from Amanda Wakeley. The dress was the perfect length, hitting Meghan just above the knee and its metallic sheen reflected the light beautifully.
The shift style was flattering to her growing baby bump and the golden hues reflecting on her face made the Duchess appear more glowing than ever.
Attending Cirque Du Soleil
Meghan literally shined in mid-January while attending a Cirque du Soleil premiere in a sequin navy gown by Roland Mouret. The dress was a real statement piece with three-quarter length sleeves, a slit leg, and just the right amount of sparkle.
The look was completed with open-toed heels by Stuart Weitzman and a black Givenchy clutch. Meghan even tidied up her signature messy bun for the event, sporting a sleek and tidy low bun. Her makeup look was all evening, with a bronze smoky eye and berry red lips.
Visiting the Royal Variety Charity
During the holiday season, the Duchess was seen on a visit to the Royal Variety Charity’s residential nursing and care home, in a floral dress from the Brock Collection and a grey coat by Soia and Kyo.
She looked lovely in the light lavender dress, which was complemented by the structured grey coat. Choosing not to overpower the look, Meghan opted for a nude clutch and heels.
Out and About
Meghan Markle and her baby bump were seen out and about late last November in a stunning monochrome look in deep burgundy.
She wore a shift-style dress with a smart peter pan collar and over it she chose a similarly hued wool jacket. Black tights and high-heeled booties completed the look, while her hair was in a casual but classic ponytail.
Visiting the Auckland War Memorial Museum
While on the Royal tour of Australia, the Duchess visited the Auckland War Memorial Museum with a stylish and appropriate navy dress by Antonio Berardi. The front of the dress included buttons that referenced the classic lines of a double-breasted blazer, while the high-low hem kept things modern.
She wore her hair down in waves and opted for Aquazzura's suede pumps.
Visiting the Wellington Government House
Meghan Markle stands out even wearing all black on her first night in New Zealand. On her visit to the Wellington Government House to celebrate 125 years of women’s suffrage, she wore a Gabriela Hearst gown and Stuart Weitzman heels.
The look was both stylish and feminine, with an ankle-length cut and adorable capped sleeves.
Traveling to Australia
The Duchess of Sussex looks fabulous even when she is traveling, in a burgundy Hugo Boss dress. The deep tone is one of her favorite colors, which is not surprising since it perfectly complements her skin tone and brown hair. This dress is especially flattering to her figure with its wrap-style waist.
The look was made complete with high heeled pumps with over-sized buckles and a delicate nude purse.
At the Australian Geographic Society Awards
It’s no surprise that this is one of the looks that everyone remembers from the Royal Australian tour; this black and white Oscar De La Renta gown is a real statement piece. Megan chose to attend the Australian Geographic Society Awards at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney.
The dress seems like something from a fairy tale with the billowing tulle skirt, exquisite bird details and the ethereal floating neckline is divine.
Visit to Tonga
This look is slightly unusual for Meghan, who typically wears neutral colors or jewel tones, but in this case, the bright fabric made for a chic fashion moment. It’s impossible to take your eyes off this electric blue dress by Veronica Beard, with its refined collar, button-up front, and tie detail on the waist.
The look is perfect for the afternoon, especially when paired with heels in a softer shade of blue and a classic ponytail.
Reception with the King and Queen of Tonga
While on her way to a reception with the King and Queen of Tonga, the Duchess was a vision of loveliness in this fabulous white gown designed by Theia. The dress fits her perfectly and features airy capped sleeves and a little bling on the shoulder, which works well with her diamond earrings.
The dress is simple and elegant, and Meghan radiates class with every step.
Arriving in Fiji
Meghan clearly loves white and looks amazing in it. She arrived in Fiji in this elegant white dress by Zimmerman with a matching Stephen Jones fascinator angled on her head.
This mid-length, long sleeve gown is perfect for Meghan, she looks casual, classic and confident. All that white was set off by a black clutch and slingback pumps.
Attending the Anzac Memorial in Sydney
At the opening of the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park, Sydney, Meghan was elegantly and appropriately attired in a smart black dress by Emilia Wickstead. She looked both modest and elegant in the A-line dress, with a button-up front and midi-length hem.
She kept the look stylish by adding a matching black fascinator by Philip Treacy and black pumps by Tabitha Simmons.
At the Government House in Melbourne
Another color that Meghan wears often is navy blue, and she has been seen in many ensembles of that color since joining the royal family. While attending a reception at the Government House in Melbourne, Australia, she wore this beautiful and unique asymmetrical navy dress by Dion Lee.
This ensemble is modest as befitting royalty but also stylish and modern. The gold bracelet and matching pumps make the look more glamorous.
At Princess Eugenie's Wedding
Fans of the royal family had plenty to talk about when Markle attended Princess Eugenie’s wedding in mid-October, in a tailored navy dress and coat designed by Givenchy.
Although she had yet to announce her pregnancy, her baby bump was clearly in evidence on this occasion. Markle wore matching heels and a fascinator by Noel Stewart.
First Appearance in Sussex
On her first appearance in October in her namesake county of Sussex, the Duchess wore a silk top and daring leather skirt by Hugo Boss.
It is rare to see a royal sporting leather and we are pretty sure it may be frowned upon by the Queen, however, Meghan made it work and on her the leather looked both sophisticated and tasteful.
At the Royal Academy of Arts in London
Although Meghan usually abides by the royal dress code and only wears modest garments, she has occasionally bent the rules a little for a special outfit. At the end of September, she made her first solo appearance at the Royal Academy of Arts in London in a dramatic black Givenchy gown.
The dress is a mix of velvet and other fabrics and features sheer balloon sleeves. Typically, royalty do not wear anything sheer, but Markle pulls it off and looks elegant and still chic.
Attending the WellChild Awards
While attending the WellChild Awards in early September, the Duchess wore a black power suit by Altuzarra with a black silk blouse. There were rumors circulating earlier this year, that the Queen and Prince Harry would rather she wore skirts and dresses to functions, but Meghan is clearly not ready to give up on her personal style just to please them.
In this case, we’re glad she insisted, because she looks amazing in the trousers and blazer set!
At Wimbledon 2018
At Wimbledon, Kate Middleton is often spotted in the stands in form fitting, summary dresses. Meanwhile, Meghan Markle has her own take on what to wear to the annual tennis championships. At this year’s matches, she donned a blue and white striped button-down tucked into white linen trousers and held a white wide-brim hat with a blue band.
The outfit was the ideal choice for a summary afternoon spent in the stands. She looked stylish and elegant and proved yet again that you don’t have to wear a dress to achieve the perfect look.
Attending Prince Harry's Polo Match
At the end of July, Meghan spent the warm summer day watching Prince Harry play polo and managed to look fabulous despite the heatwave. She wore a Carolina Herrera dress with a chambray texture and a statement belt, which accentuated her waist. She paired the dress with cute sunglasses, a rattan clutch, and nude pumps and wore her hair in her signature low bun.
It’s not just the clothes she wears that make Meghan a fashion icon, but also the small details which she pairs them with. Her entire look projects not only sophisticated style but also fashion-forward thinking.
Attending Prince Louis's Christening
To attend Prince Louis’s Christening, Meghan opted for an elegant olive-green Ralph Lauren dress, a Stephen Jones hat, and matching heels. The olive shade complemented Markle’s skin tone beautifully, and she made quite the fashion statement by having all of her accessories, including purse and gloves in different variations of the shade.
The ensemble was quite modest, which was the right choice for the spiritual occasion, but still stylish and trendy.
At the Royal Air Force's 100th Anniversary
On July 10th, Markle wore a stunning little black dress by Dior to the Royal Air Force’s 100th Anniversary ceremony, at Westminster Abbey, London. Despite the color, the dress was quite similar to her wedding dress, with its simple shape and boat neck neckline, which flattered her petite frame.
She made the look even more fabulous with a stylish fascinator, nude pointed pumps, and Cartier earrings. To highlight the beautiful neckline of the dress, the Duchess wore her hair in a sleek bun.
First Solo Appearance with the Queen
On her first solo appearance with the Queen, while visiting Cheshire, Meghan opted for a ladylike yet chic taupe dress. The dress was designed by none other than the creator of her iconic and hugely anticipated wedding gown, Givenchy.
This look has an off-the-shoulder neckline, which is reminiscent of her wedding dress, and seems to be one of the Duchess’ favorite styles for her many royal public appearances thus far. She paired the dress with a black belt, heels, and clutch.
At the 'Trooping The Colour' Event in 2018
The Duchess of Sussex made a public appearance in the beginning of June in this form fitting off-the-shoulder dress by Carolina Herrera, with buttons running down the front. She looked lovely in this delicate shade of pink and topped it off traditionally with a matching pink fascinator by Philip Treacy.
Her look received some criticism from the public, who felt that the off-the-shoulder neckline was not appropriate for a royal engagement. We beg to differ and think she looked both stylish and elegant while remaining modest.
Attending a Memorial Service on Anzac Day
In late April, Meghan attended a morning memorial service in honor of Anzac Day wearing a fashionable taupe coat with button and pocket detailing by Smythe. Fans loved her look, and they especially loved her navy blue wide-brim hat, which perfectly matched the shade of Prince Harry’s long-line navy coat.
When these two coordinate outfits, they make quite a fabulous fashion power couple!
Visiting Edinburgh
Meghan looked both warm and chic when she visited Edinburgh in this duster coat by Burberry. The plaid design on the coat was an excellent choice for the occasion, and the classic print was obviously intended to honor the Scottish heritage.
Beneath the coat, Meghan wore a simple black turtleneck and trousers, and her only accessory was a cross-body bag by Strathberry. The entire look was quite casual and the perfect choice in which to greet the crowd.
First Evening Appearance with Prince Harry
Meghan Markle doesn’t dress like your traditional royal and often wears pants instead of the preferred skirts and dresses. The Queen and Kate Middleton are almost never seen in slacks, which is why Markle received a lot of attention when she wore this Alexander McQueen pantsuit on her first official evening appearance with Harry.
We think it’s great that she’s not letting her new status dictate her fashion choices and that she looks amazing in this stylish black-and-white ensemble.
At a Reception for Women's Empowerment
While attending a reception for women’s empowerment in London in mid-April 2018, Meghan wore a simple yet sophisticated little black dress. The dress received a lot of attention because it was similar to a famous look worn by Jackie O that became known as the “Jackie belted dress.”
Fans feel that this outfit was a planned homage by Meghan to the American First Lady and her impeccable sense of fashion.
Attending the Invictus Games
Wearing the perfect look for spring, Meghan stepped out to attend the Invictus Games celebration reception in London, wearing a pleated green dress with a floral print. The dress, designed by Self Portrait, sported a V-neck, a ruffled bodice, and a mid-length skirt.
The dress was flowy and feminine, so Markle made the look more formal with a fitted black blazer and pointy-toe black heels.
The Day Before Her Wedding
On the day before her wedding, Meghan arrived in London to spend her last night as a single woman at Cliveden House. For the occasion, she wore a navy blue Roland Mouret ruffled dress. The bride-to-be was smiling and happy as she stepped out of the limo in two of her favorites, navy blue and a boat neck neckline.
She would wear the very same type of neckline the following day in her beautiful wedding gown while marrying Prince Harry!
The First Royal Visit to Nottingham
On December 1st, 2017, on her first royal visit to Nottingham, Meghan Markle showed us her stylish side. She was perfectly on trend in knee-high boots and a midi-length skirt, but she managed to make the trend her own and looked both stylish and elegant.
People feel like this look may be a nod to Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, whom Meghan has mentioned as one of her biggest fashion influences.
Attending Christmas Mass
Meghan Markle showed everyone that she could look the part while attending Christmas Mass on the arm of Prince Harry and with the entire royal family. She looked stunning in a traditional chocolate-colored British fascinator with matching boots, gloves, and purse.
Above a cherry-colored velvet dress, she wore a camel-colored wrap coat by Sentaler, which would become one of her signature pieces, seen often in the winter of that year.
Visiting Ireland
While visiting Ireland, Meghan exemplified her classic style and preference for sleek shapes and minimal print. She was seen out and about in a mermaid-cut, olive-green skirt and cream cashmere sweater by Victoria Beckham. Over the skirt and sweater, she wore a dusky pink wrap coat paired with maroon velvet stilettos and a top-handled handbag.
The best part of this look is Markle’s signature messy low bun. She is redefining the style worn by royals, who are known for their prim and proper hairstyles.
The Wedding Dress
No Meghan Markle style recap would be complete without talking about her eagerly anticipated wedding dress. Many differing opinions were given about the gown, but no one can argue that it is an embodiment of her personal style.
She is a fan of simple, no frills clothes that are effortlessly elegant, which is why this fitted, long sleeve dress with a delicate boat neck collar was exactly the right choice for her special day.
First Outing as an Engaged Couple
On her first outing with Prince Harry as an engaged couple, in late November 2017, Meghan wore an extremely memorable white wrap coat, which quickly became part of her fashion legacy. That crisp white coat was the first to create the “Meghan Markle effect,” causing it to sell out of every store within moments of her first wearing it.
As we have seen, the wrap coat is one of Meghan’s signature looks, and she can be seen sporting it in various colors all through the cold winter months.
Official Engagement Portraits
Those who follow Meghan Markle’s fashion choices will also not soon forget what she wore in her official engagement portraits with Prince Harry. She opted for a magnificent ball gown by Ralph & Russo, with a sheer bodice and strategically placed embellishments.
The outfit stirred some controversy because it was considered by many as way too risque to be worn by a member of the royal family. We think Meghan looks fun and flirty in this beautiful dress, but it is definitely one of her more daring fashion choices.
Attending the Commonwealth Day Service
Markle looked both stylish and stunning in mid-March for her first official appearance with the Queen while attending the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. She wore a fitted cream coat over a mid-length navy dress and matching navy heels.
Her ensemble was completed with a navy clutch and a perfectly angled beret on her head. This look perfectly combines the best things about Markle’s style by being both chic and classic.
First Appearance as the Duchess of Sussex
Another iconic fashion moment took place in late May as Meghan made her first public appearance as Prince Harry’s wife and the Duchess of Sussex. She looked like the perfect princess in a blush pink pencil dress by Goat with a matching bespoke hat.
This look is stylish, feminine, and extremely modest as befitting her new status as a royal. This look is so traditional that Meghan even wore stockings with her pumps.
Attending a Commonwealth Event
As we’ve seen, Meghan Markle doesn’t often wear bold colors, but when she does, it always makes a statement. She donned an eye-catching bright yellow sleeveless dress by Brandon Maxwell to attend a Commonwealth event in London. This dress is a refreshing change from all of her signature nudes, soft pinks, navy blues, and blacks.
The dress also flatters her figure beautifully and features what seems to be swiftly becoming her signature bateau neckline.
The Civil Wedding Ceremony
But of all the different royal looks worn by Meghan Markle so far, the favorite must be her Stella McCartney wedding dress, which she wore after the civil ceremony.
Unsurprisingly, the gown has a simple silhouette, but the halter neck and form-fitting shape are extremely glamorous. The gown complemented the bride’s figure perfectly, and the pulled-back hair offset the neckline beautifully.
The Vogue Fashion Fund Awards in 2015
This photo dates back to 2015 when Meghan Markle attended the 12th annual Vogue Fashion Fund Awards at Spring Studios. These were the days before Prince Harry was continuously by her side and before she married into the British Royal family and their rules and regulations.
This wonderful piece was designed by Misha Nonoo, who was not only a talented designer but also a very close friend of Meghan's at the time. The neckline completely complimented her figure, and the timeless and sophisticated creation had a perfect silhouette as she walked the red carpet. Even then, Meghan stood out as a fashion icon more than anything else.
Mountbatten Music Festival
This next image looks as if it was pulled out of a fairy tale, presenting a magnificent love story between a prince charming and his beautiful princess. Well, besides Prince Harry and wish-to-be princess Meghan, things were not all that charming at the time.
This image was taken at the Mountbatten Music Festival in 2020 when things were already humpy between the couple and the rest of the royal family. Meghan is seen in a stunning red gown designed by Safiyaa. The vibrant color added strength and boldness to her appearance, assuring she stood out more than anyone else in the crowd.
Invictus Games Reception
You cannot go wrong with a white Valentino suit. And Meghan Markle was not wrong at all when she appeared at The Hague and the Dutch Ministry of Defence on April 15, 2022. Already a mother of two, Markle looked absolutely stunning (and no, not everyone can get away with a white suit).
Meghan had a matching handbag, also by Valentino (of course), and Aquazzura heels to complete the look. Now, the pure white heels look very familiar to us. Apparently, this was not the first time she appeared in them as Markle wore the exact same shoes on her wedding day.
Cardiff Castle
In January 2018, Meghan adapted herself perfectly to the British weather. She is seen here when visiting Cardiff Castle alongside her prince. Local designer Stella McCartney is responsible for the exquisite coat that Meghan wore elegantly and a black tie-waist jumpsuit, designed by McCartney too. The outfit was accompanied by a DeMellier London green bag and tall black suede boots.
This outfit screams sophistication, a look Meghan Markle goes out of her way to achieve and succeeds in most cases. Choosing British designers all the way says a lot about the message she tried to pass to the crowds. Did she get her message through clearly? We are not so sure.
Navy Blue at Birmingham
Navy blue and cream have always been a royal favorite, and in 2018, while visiting the Millennium Point in Birmingham, Markle adopted the look, too. She was seen alongside Prince Harry in a blue and cream overcoat designed by J.Crew. She didn't have to put on more than a simple white sweater underneath and a pair of cropped black trousers.
As she couldn't sport a look that was too casual, the pair of black heels she wore were the perfect choice and completed the simple yet urban and sophisticated look. Yet again, Markle went for the British designers, hoping to gain the public's support.
The New Zealand Visit
Whoever said that two shades of blue could not be worn together has no idea about fashion. Just look at the stunning dress Meghan Markle wore when visiting Rotorua, New Zealand, during her and Prince Harry's royal tour of the country in 2018. This was not the first time Stella McCartney was chosen to design the outfit for her.
The astonishing blue dress and simple yet elegant navy suede Manolo Blahnik pumps made Markle look more royal than ever. The beautiful dress featured mid-arm sleeves with a high neckline and a fitted silhouette. Meghan was complimented for choosing navy blue as the dominant color of what she wore, delivering a timeless look praised by many.
A Friend's Wedding
On August 4th, 2018, Meghan Markle attended one of her closest friend's wedding. Daisy Jenks and Charlie Van Straubenzee were getting married at Saint Mary The Virgin Church in Frensham, and Markle's outfit choice was superb. She had a chic dress, not often seen by royals at weddings.
She had a black dress (although in some photos it looked more like a dark shade of blue), with a green, purple, and pink skirt. The belted waist added sophistication and style. She couldn't get away with placing a fascinator on her head, however, when Philip Treacy is responsible for the design, it doesn't look that bad after all.
Glowing in Blue
Meghan Markle has become a controversial figure in the Royal Family. The pressures of royal life became too much for her, so she and Prince Harry ultimately chose to leave the UK. Some have noted that Meghan shares the same passionate individuality as Diana, even when it comes to fashion.
Here, Meghan wore a gown created by designer Safiyaa while she was on a royal tour to Fiji. Out of respect for the country they are visiting, British royals typically pay tribute to the country through their fashion. This beautiful blue dress is very similar to the blue shade found in Fiji’s flag, and we must add that it flatters her remarkably.
Gorgeous Givenchy
In recent years, Meghan Markle’s royal style has taken over the tabloids. There is a touch of scandal in this 2018 photo. Meghan is actually violating the Queen’s subtle nail polish preference of neutral shades in favor of a dark color. But, this particular action did not seem to cause any major disruptions in the royal family.
Surprisingly, Meghan, who was pregnant at the time, was also harshly criticized for touching her growing stomach. It’s surprising the critics were not more enamored with Meghan’s stunning black Givenchy gown and were too busy paying attention to all the unimportant noise around.
Natural Meghan Markle
Before leaving the UK, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle still had a few more events to cross off their list of royal duties. In September 2020, the couple attended a multi-faith service at Westminster Abbey. For the events, Meghan wore a green dress by designer Emilia Wickstead. The Queen and other high-ranking members of the royal family were also attending the event.
William Chambers designed Meghan’s fascinator, and Gabriela Hearst designed her purse. Another essential part of the royal protocol is for female royals to wear hats for occasions such as church attendance. Meghan stood out in this remarkable shade of green, one that not every woman would dare to wear.
Meghan in Remembrance Red
Meghan Markle stepped out with her husband in this Carolina Herrera gown for the 2021 Salute to Freedom Gala in New York. The couple appropriately wore what many call “remembrance red” in honor of the Armed Forces on Remembrance Day. Harry had a red poppy on his lapel.
Meghan looked absolutely stunning in her floor-length designer gown. The dress featured a layered skirt with a cape overlay and a thigh-high slit. The stunning red dress also featured a plunging neckline and simple straps. There’s no way we would have seen Meghan wearing something so revealing while a member of the Royal Family. She’s absolutely glowing.
The White Givenchy Perfection
To mark her debut appearance at the prestigious event as a member of the British royal family, Meghan Markle wore the perfect dress. Givenchy is the name behind the creation of elegance, which obliged Markle to go for a more modest and formal dress code.
The white dress featured a button-down front and a collar that resembled a shirt more than anything else. It worked well. The belted waist tucked everything in and the mid-length skirt was absolutely tailored to perfection. She couldn't ask for more. The design on the top of the hat she had added some drama and spiced her outfit up.
Cozy in the Community Centre
When Meghan Markle visited the Hillcrest Community Centre on February 16, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada, she looked warm, cozy, and, most of all, comfortable. This was the Invictus Games One Year To Go Winter Training Camp, and she was wearing a camel cape wrap coat designed by Sentale alongside simple black jeans, casual leather boots, and taupe gloves.
The coat she had on featured ribbing details on the cuffs, surprising lapels, and a belt that was already built in and buckled just a few inches above the waistline. Even though she is no longer an official member of the British royal family, it seems that she is doing a good job when it comes to style and choice of clothes. The royal dressers might have taught her a thing or two.
Proenza Schouler Rosa Dress
The Variety Power Of Women Event held in November 2023 honored Meghan Markle in a stunning Proenza Schouler Rosa Dress. The piece was fished out of the Resort 2024 collection, and initially, it was supposed to be made of Nappa leather. Meghan visualized the dress in a more elegant and soft fabric, which resulted in a fabulous appearance.
Her body shape was flattered by the dress's design, and we feel that the original leather creation would have made her look a little too stiff and boxy. To many critics, this look is one of Meghan's best ones, taking into consideration that the ones who dress her are not the British royal stylists anymore.
On Love
When the Bob Marley movie "One Love" came out, Meghan Markle, the (still) Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry, the forever Duke of Sussex, attended the premier of the movie, and the red carpet was rolled out for the two. They were welcomed with great honor, and the two, especially Markle, made an effort to look their best.
She wore a simple yet elegant full-length black dress with a wide neckline and spaghetti straps. On the other hand, Cool Prince Harry didn't make too much of a big deal of the occasion and didn't even bother to put on a tie.
Closing off the Ceremony
The closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf 2023 was remarkable, and Meghan Markle made the event even more astonishing than it already was. She embraced the audience in a shocking and spectacular peacock blue gown designed by Raylene; her hair was tied back, and she completed the look with a pair of pumps and Kimai earrings.
The strapless cut dress was just below the knees and a little over her ankles and presented a glamorous and prestigious look. Her other half wore an all-black suit, a simple yet honorable appearance, which allowed his wife to shine and stand under the limelight.
Sticking to Natural
On September 15, 2023, for the 7th day of the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany, Meghan Markle stuck to what she loves and knows best: natural colors. Straightforward, simple, and approachable items we can all wear ourselves.
There is no Stella McCartney or Givency here, but a simple Zara jumpsuit and an oversized cream blazer. Now, when concerning the accessories Meghan had on, we are sorry to say that they were not bought at Zara, as she preferred to go for a little touch of the upper class and chose to go with no less than Bottega Veneta chain hoop earrings.
Progress & Power
When Meghan Markle attended the Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Awards, she decided to take gold all the way. She wore a strapless golden gown designed by Johanna Ortiz, Tom Ford high heels, a clear box clutch under the responsibility of CH Carolina Herrera, a Cartier Love bracelet, and J. Crew earrings.
This award ceremony was a celebration of Generations of Progress and Power, many of the things Markle stands and fights for. Meghan has a great sense of fashion, even without those who dress her and style her up, so if you ever want to dress like her, stick to natural shades. If we are talking about evening gowns, go for one color only.
Gala Vuitton
The New York Hilton in Manhattan hosted the Ripple of Hope Award Gala on December 6, 2022. Meghan Markle arrived in a breathtaking and out-of-this-world Louis Vuitton white gown. The stunning dress had long sleeves and an off-the-shoulder neckline and featured a subtle center slit for a leg to peak through.
Besides looking marvelous in the Vuitton dress, Markle had an aquamarine ring that once belonged to the late Princess Diana, which was not the first time she had a possession that belonged to her husband's late mother. On their wedding day, during the reception, Prince Harry gave it to his bride as her traditional "Something Blue."
Royal Funeral Atelier
When Queen Elizabeth II passed away, it was certain that her funeral would be broadcast all over the world, meaning the choice of clothes would have to be appropriate. Now, a funeral is no time for a fashion show, but when we consider Meghan Markle, every moment is a fashion moment. In September 2022, when the late Queen was laid to rest, Markle wore a black cape dress designed by Stella McCartney and added a brimmed black hat.
The dress was beautiful. However, many felt that they had seen it before. As it turns out, Meghan already wore the dress back in 2018, just in a different color. People (even queens) only die once — couldn't she invest in a new design?
Shades of Beige
Meghan does look spectacular, and she doesn't have to wear a skirt or evening gown to do so. On September 6th, 2022, at the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Markle wore a knit top designed by Anine Bing, high-waist Brandon Maxwell trousers, and Dior pumps.
Markle often goes for light shades of pale beige and varieties of cream, and we must admit that these choices flatter her remarkably. As her days are busy with activities, she makes an effort to dress in comfortable clothes, but she still manages to look as if she has just been driven out of a fashion magazine.
September in London
We must admit that this next one is definitely not one of our favorite ones. Sometimes, you want to go with a unique color that is not often seen on celebs, however, this time, we feel that Meghan went a little too far with the shade she chose.
For this special occasion, she wore an all-red outfit, which consisted of tailored trousers and a blow blouse designed by American Another Tomorrow. To finish off the look, she went for red pumps, which, in our opinion, were not the right choice. If you are going to go with red all over, then the shoes would have to be a natural, almost unexisting shade.
Platinum Jubilee
To mark the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee 2022 ceremony, Meghan Markle went all cream. She wore a coat and skirt by no less than Dior Haute Couture, which designed all of the accessories she had on that day, too. We are talking about her hat, gloves, and shoes, all by the prestigious D.
The short sleeves of the coat distinguished the piece from any other nonroyal coat and updated the already exquisite outfit. Although Meghan and her Prince Harry were one foot out of the palace, she embraced her royal duties and went as royal as she possibly could.
Off the Shoulder
What Meghan Markle is wearing here may surprise you. You would have expected her to wear a shirt and trousers; however, she chose to go for something a little more sophisticated. She is seen here in a Cerise off-shoulder pearl bodysuit together with a modest pair of black trousers. Meghan spiced things up with Manolo Blahnik Campari Polka Dot Mesh Pumps (you cannot make any mistakes with Manolo Blahnik).
To draw attention to her attractive neckline, Meghan added a touch of glam and gold with a Cartier Juste Un Clou necklace. This photo was taken at the Invictus Games opening ceremony when Markle had plenty of opportunities to show off her fashion style.
New York New York
Here, at the Global Citizen Live in New York, we see Meghan Markle in a short white dress designed by Valentino. The dress featured intricate embellishments, which turned the relatively simple design into a prestigious piece with its glam. The black pumps Markle had on were a great contrast to the pure white dress.
The outfits and looks Markle chooses are full of sophistication and elegance, characteristics she wishes to maintain even after departing from her royal duties. The pieces she is often seen in are timeless and, although she will probably never do so, can be worn over and over again.
All the Way to Canada
For the occasion held in January 2020, Meghan Markle went for both a sophisticated and symbolic appearance. The royal couple are seen here when visiting Canada House in central London just before they departed for a winter break in Canada, where Markle lived for several years.
The Reiss camel coat was escorting a tan-colored sweater and a matching shade skirt designed by Massimo Dutti. Markle often chooses shades of brown, beige, and cream, and we must agree that they compliment her the best. This article has a similar coat, just in a different color. Markle obviously loves the style, as one in cream was seen when the couple got engaged.
At The Royal Albert Hall
The British designer Erdem is the name behind the creation Meghan Markle wore at the British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London on November 9, 2019. The black and beautiful piece was full of all the characteristics that resemble Erdem's creations the most, which are femininity and sophistication.
The three-quarter length sleeves, the boat neckline, and the velvet floral embellishments turn this dress into a timeless piece, accompanied by black pumps and a small black clutch. Markle's hair was pulled back tightly, so the focus was on the dress she was wearing and nothing else.
Round Red Table
On October 25, 2019, Meghan Markle attended the roundtable discussion on gender equality together with the late Queen Elizabeth. Many other important figures attended, and Meghan Markle showcased herself in a polished and elegant outfit. She turned up in a burgundy-colored midi-length dress designed by British Joseph, known for his minimalistic touches and sophisticated creations.
Although not seen in this photo, he wore nude heels and very little jewelry, allowing the dress she wore to be the centerpiece. Markle is very wise when choosing the designers behind the clothes she wears, as the British ones are always the most appreciated ones when it comes to events of this manner.
Lady in Purple
Meghan Markle wore a glamorous purple midi dress by Babaton for the One Young World Summit Opening Ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall on October 22, 2019. The dress was light, soft, and modern and featured a fitted silhouette, a bateau neckline, and long sleeves. This is as elegant as a dress can be.
The color Markle chose to wear was unique and different, as purple can be tricky if the wrong shade is chosen. It can turn into a huge fashion failure. Luckily enough for Markle, the shade Babton went for was perfect, and Markle wore the dress to perfection.
Traditional Tuesday
Green is a very symbolic color for the British royal family. When Priמce Philip passed away, all members of the family attended the funeral ceremony in bottle green in honor of his legacy. Years before that, in 2019, Meghan Markle was seen at the WellChild Awards in the same symbolic green.
The dress was a creation by Parosh, the same name behind the dress Markle wore when her engagement with Prince Harry was announced. So, we did some digging and we learned that not only did Parosh design the dress Markle wore on her big announcement day, in fact, it was the exact same dress she is seen in here.
Traveling Africa
In October 2019, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle traveled through Africa for almost a whole month and met with Graca Machel, widow of the late Nelson Mandela, who was a significant moment of the tour. For this special occasion, Markle wore a House of Nonie nude-colored dress, which featured a trench coat, double-breasted buttons, and a belt.
The color chosen for this dress is what made it so soft and feminine and, without a doubt, perfect for the occasion. There were not too many accessories, as none were needed, and the simplicity of the design shone even brighter than many other extravagant gowns.
Tembisa Township
Meghan Markle definitely has a love for white and cream outfits and those with buttons, too. She is seen here in a cream button-up shirt dress reflecting on how simple, yet elegant and sophisticated one piece can be. This dress is what we call a shirt dress and it was designed by Hannah Lavery.
Markle completed the look with Stone Tassel Earrings made by Madwell and, of course, her everlasting beige pumps. It is clear the Markle was after a comfortable, yet elegant appearance, and Lavery's creation delivers exactly that. Harry compliments Markle's glam with a casual, yet sophisticated appearance, too.
Suited the Occasion
For the day Meghan Markle visited the "Mother2Mother" organization in South Africa in September 2019, she chose an outfit that resonated with the mission of the organization, which provides health services in many countries all over the world. Markle wore a black jumpsuit designed by Everlane, which showcased a relaxed and comfortable fit.
A pair of golden earrings and simple yet elegant black heels were enough to complete the look which was professional, prestigious, and prominent. Markle proves that there is no need to be seen in a glamorous evening gown to make an impression, and even simple outfits can be as impressive, if not more.
Rewearing in South Africa
The next photo was taken when Harry and Meghan were attending a reception for young people, community, and civil society leaders during the royal tour of South Africa. From what we can gather, it seems like Markle didn't unpack her suitcase when she came back from her Australia trip the year before as she was seen in the exact same dress.
Apparently, this is not the first time Meghan has been seen in the same outfits, and during that South African tour, she wore two outfits that she had on when touring the previous year. It doesn't matter if we like the dress or not, she must work on keeping a bigger gap between each occasion she wears the same clothes.
US Open
Denim, in all of its shades, always wins (and you do not have to be a member of the British Royal Family to look great in it). For the US Open Tennis Tournament held in 2019, Meghan Markle arrived wearing a denim shirt designed by J.Crew and delivered a relaxed and content overall appearance.
The dress had a belt at the waist to highlight the shape of her figure, and with the simple accessories Markle added, she looked marvelous. The simple sunglasses alongside the light gray and more basic blazer she threw over her shoulders all contributed to an effortless and sophisticated mid-day look.
The Lion King Premier
We must admit that the dress Meghan Markle wore for the "The Lion King" European Premiere at Leicester Square in 2019 has got to be one of our favorites. Besides the fact that this is a classic retro design executed by superb Jason Wu, the critics could not stay speechless, and all of the talkers agreed that Markle looked absolutely stunning.
The Gucci clutch added to the prestigious look, and keeping her hair back did her well. Markle didn't go over the top when it came to makeup and went for a rather natural and modest appearance, driving all of the attention to Wu's creation.
