Sedrick Ellis only spent five years in the NFL, mostly with the New Orleans Saints, but also briefly with the Chicago Bears, as a defensive tackle. But in that short span of time, he was able to buy a Ferrari California for an estimated worth of $250,000.
This is just a quick example of how much one can earn in a single year if given the chance to play with the big dogs. With proper financial management, knocking guys down in the field for a couple of years could really set you off to a great start in life. Ellis retired back in 2013.

A minor fraction of the millions he’s earned is materialized in the form of a Hollywood mansion he purchased for an estimated $6.6 million. The luxury house has 10 baths, a built-in synagogue, a home cinema, a media room, a huge guesthouse, and two swimming pools.
