Ron Perlman has smashed the stereotype that guys from hell are baddies. The heavyset actor, famous for his roles in “Hellboy” and “Sons of Anarchy,” brought a fan’s dreams to life as she got to express her childhood dream of meeting him.
After fulfilling her wishes for a picture, the actor was kind enough to call her friends over for a group shot. The soft-hearted tough guy gave his fan an affectionate smooch on the head before the group made their way home, with the fan’s mission accomplished.
Michael Cera
Celebrities can make for wonderful wingmen as proved by Michael Cera helping a fan impress some female friends. While you would think a celebrity wants nothing more than to be left alone over a quiet drink, the more-than-accommodating Michael Cera graciously fulfilled a fan’s request to play along as if the two were old friends.
We can imagine Michael Cera getting his autograph pen out as the fan approached, but instead of an autograph, the fan asked the “Juno” actor to begin laughing uproariously. Michael played along, and, well, we hope the fan got a date!
Charles Barkley
Former National Basketball Association champion Charles Barkley proved that his humor and generosity stretch as far as his legs do to this fan. The confident fan put his starstruck urges aside and made friendly eye contact with the basketball legend while ordering a drink at the bar. Barkley jokingly (or...maybe seriously?) asked the fan if he wanted to order a drink for him.
The fan immediately remarked on his dire financial circumstances compared to Barkley’s somewhat healthy financial situation. The good-natured Barkley laughed, and the two landed up sharing a drink...on Barkley’s tab, of course!
Aaron Paul
Who would have ever thought that Aaron Paul, most well-known as a bad boy, Jessie Pinkman, from "Breaking Bad" would be a diehard romantic at heart? A recently engaged couple was sharing their wedding ideas with friends while at a vineyard. Unbeknownst to them, they had an eavesdropper in the form of Aaron Paul.
In a turn of events, it was the actor approaching the fan rather than the other way round! Paul was so enthusiastic about their plans that he even shared pictures of the engagement ring he got for his wife.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Everyone’s favorite rock and rollers, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, have a reputation of being incredibly approachable and warm to the general public. A fan who was working as a valet at the time got to experience this legendary friendliness when he helped them out of their convoy at a hotel.
The band’s bassist, Flea, is known for his disdain for clothing and emerged still putting his pants on! He made up for the awkward moment by taking five minutes to make small talk with the fan. We do wonder which part about Flea he best remembered...
Adam Sandler
Never one to disappoint fans, Adam Sandler ensured that a grueling work day did not stand in the way of sharing some meet-and-greet love. The goofball actor best known for his comedic roles in slapstick classics such as "The Waterboy” was shooting a film in this fan’s hometown.
A throng of admirers gathered around, hoping to catch the actor’s attention, but the production staff announced that Sandler was exhausted and needed to relax. He must have had the power nap of all power naps as he was out a few minutes later, paying heartfelt attention to every fan.
Bill Hader
A fanatic “Saturday Night Live” fan and their friend found themselves standing before their icon, Bill Hader, while waiting in line to score tickets to be part of the "Saturday Night Live" audience. Pat Morita
Every nineties ninja wannabe had one idol: Mr. Miyagi. While we cannot confirm this fan’s martial art aspirations, we can be assured that Pat Morita cemented himself as one of their heroes. The fan’s mother was working in the advertising industry at the time and coordinated a lot of the scheduling for the actors.
At the height of his “The Karate Kid” fame, Morita called to speak to the fan’s mother, who was not home at the time. Instead of hanging up, Morita engaged the young fan in a full conversation.
Peter Dinklage
We are yet to hear a negative account of “Game of Thrones” superstar Peter Dinklage. The notoriously cordial and congenial actor is yet to let a fan down. This fan recounts their encounter with the humble Dinklage, who, by the fan’s impression, was seemingly overcome with confusion at the fuss all his fans were making over him.
The actor, forever a professional, shook it off and called this fan over. Instead of just taking a simple photograph, Dinklage encouraged the fan to join him in a series of ridiculous poses.
Dave Chappelle
Dave Chappelle is known for his disdain of the glitz and glamor offered by Hollywood and has instead opted for the small-town life – out in Ohio of all places.
A Chappelle fan who was a college student at the time recounts his numerous encounters with the controversial comedian at their local coffee shop. In his most memorable meeting, Chappelle took almost an hour out of his time to sit and drink coffee with the fan while discussing some insider secrets of the screenwriting world.
Hugh Laurie
Let’s be honest, Hugh Laurie’s “House M.D.” character, the fussy Dr. Gregory House, is the last doctor we would want to make a home call on us. As good fortune would have it, though, fans report nothing but impeccable bedside manners from the distinguished British actor.

The actor loves interacting with fans and is known for happily playing along with any gag or ludicrous photo request. He went viral for a series of fan photos that seemed to portray him stealing fans' girlfriends!
Tom Hanks
Tom Hanks has never played a villain in a movie before, and after reading what fans have said about meeting him, we can understand why! The famed American actor has often been spotted joining everyday folk in museums, at concerts, and now even at Disneyland. This fan spills the beans about the time Tom Hanks took the reins and guided a group of two dozen schoolchildren through Disneyland. The tour guide merely followed in his shadow.
Hanks’ expert knowledge of the theme park revealed just how often before he had taken up this activity!
Danny de Vito
What? Do you mean Matilda’s dad is actually a nice guy?! Every 90s kid can recall the mean-spirited and money-hungry character Danny de Vito played in the film version of Roald Dahl’s “Matilda.” Fortunately for his fans, that persona remained on set.
A lucky fan happened to be staying in the same hotel as the “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” cast, and his date managed to get Danny de Vito’s attention. Instead of a quick hi and autograph, the ever-so-accommodating de Vito pulled up a chair and spent the next two hours chatting with his admirers over drinks.
Bruce Campbell
Legendary B movie actor Bruce Campbell, of cult classics such as “Evil Dead” and “Maniac Cop,” proved that a career in killing zombies had no effect on his charm. The fan’s star-struckness was somewhat delayed as the actor walked in for a meeting at the company she was working at.
When Bruce and his assistant walked in, she simply wrote down his name and called back to her colleague, "Bruce Campbell is here to see you,” before realizing it was THE Bruce Campbell! The actor chuckled at her surprise and made small talk before his meeting.
Scarlett Johansson
Fans seem to be perpetually surprised at Scarlett Johansson’s overwhelmingly friendly disposition. Are fans expecting an ice-cold shrew? We also have to wonder why people would think she’s not friendly!
A coffee-loving fan got to experience the full might of the sociable Scarlett while waiting for coffee at the crack of dawn in New York one morning. She did not mind the early morning interruption as the fan told her that one of their favorite movies is “Home Alone 3”, a film in which Johansson had a less than “starring” role in!
Gene Wilder
In a touching story, funnyman Gene Wilder showed a fan his patient and caring side. Wilder’s spouse at the time, Gilda Radner, was undergoing chemotherapy, and her highly publicized health struggles were taking a toll. Maintaining professionalism, the driver left, but before he could exit, Wilder ran out of the house to apologize with a hefty tip and gratitude for delivering over a weekend.

A fan experienced a true movie-worthy coincidence when Ian McKellen walked in, sat next to him in an almost empty theater, and proceeded to engage him in a conversation about the movie throughout the movie!
Nathan Fillion
Canadian actor Nathan Fillion, best known for his role as Captain Malcolm "Mal” Reynolds on the hit television series “Firefly,” went incognito to watch a movie at a local theater. A theater employee managed to foil Fillion’s disguise after remarking to the patron that he “kind of looks like” Nathan Fillion. Fillion, seemingly impressed with the eagle-eyed employee, slid his sunglasses off his nose and looked the theater employee in the eye, confirming his suspicions.
The actor has a sizeable appetite, apparently, as the fan commented that he bought SIX boxes of popcorn! Yikes.
Nick Jonas
Being one of the most recognizable faces of one of the most recognizable bands in the world has had no negative impact on Nick Jonas’ ego. The silky-voiced musician, one-third of the Jonas Brothers band, booked a table for his entire family — including grandparents — to celebrate his little brother’s moving to college.
While there were no great shakes from the day, the fan recalled how affable the young Jonas was to the staff. And, of course, left a fat tip.
Bam Margera
Skateboarder and all-around bad boy Bam Margera, who comprised part of the infamous “Jackass” crew, helped boost a fan’s self-esteem to new heights in this exchange.
The fan, in school at the time, recalled that he was on the receiving end of playground criticism for his choice in footwear: skate shoes with checkered laces. Margera, a skater himself, was so impressed by the young fan’s creative spin on the footwear that he spent ten minutes learning how to recreate the technique.
Steve Irwin
The eternally endearing Steve Irwin has often featured in fan memories as being the pinnacle of celebrity encounters. A fan recounts the time when, during a family holiday, he had the fortune of coming face-to-face with the famed “crocodile hunter” after an afternoon dip.
The fan, eleven years old at the time, ran into the elevator, straight into the gap-toothed grin of Irwin. We are not sure what type of hotel this was because Irwin instructed the young fan to alert him if the child came across any crocodiles in the hotel pool.
Adam Savage
Adam Savage busts any myths about celebrities being too arrogant and full of themselves. Savage, one half of the iconic “Mythbusters” duo, was headlining a science expo when a fawning fan had the opportunity to share a heartfelt confession to the television personality.
The fan admitted that Savage was his inspiration to study engineering thanks to “Mythbusters.” The sentimental Savage took this to heart, and the fan recalls him becoming particularly excited about having such an influence on the fan’s future.
Bill Murray
Bill Murray did not drop his deadpan persona when a fan bumped into him at a museum in Dallas, Texas. The admirer struck up a conversation with the actor and, at the conclusion of it, asked Murray for directions to a particular exhibit. The fan seems to think that Murray deliberately gave him the wrong directions!
To Murray’s credit, though, the fan also remarked that Murray made a joke that went over the fan’s head. Perhaps getting lost was the price to pay for not finding Bill Murray funny!
Nick Offerman
Funny man Nick Offerman, most noted for his role as Ron Swanson in the long-running NBC sitcom "Parks and Rec," has another side to him that most fans do not know about: carpentry. That’s right, Offerman is a passionate woodworker and has even authored a book on the subject as well as having founded a woodworking shop.
A devoted fan took their shot at making an impression at knowing this, and the genuinely surprised Offerman hung around to share some professional pointers. If any critic calls his acting wooden, we’re sure he would take that as a compliment!
Brock Lesnar
The bigger they are, the harder they fall...for their fans! Behemoth WWE superstar Brock Lesnar took no offense to this fan’s starstruck stare. Lesnar, who was catching a quick bite in a hospital cafeteria while his wife was in labor, could not help but notice the besotted glare of this fan and motioned for him to join him.
The fan recounted gushing to Lesnar about his son being a huge fan of the wrestler. We are definitely sensing some projection there, dad.

The diminutive Dolly, measuring under five feet, commented how happy she was that the fan was of equal height! The fan did mention, though, that Parton was wearing heels, but we’ll overlook this, Dolly!
Clint Eastwood
Clint Eastwood, the titan of Hollywood of notoriously steely “Dirty Harry” fame, is a true softie at heart, as this fan reveals to us. The fan was working on a movie set, and during a quiet moment, the set worker dropped his professional guard and approached Eastwood to introduce himself.
Eastwood was very happy to get into the conversation until he reached into his pocket and pulled out a peanut. A squirrel appeared out of nowhere and came to eat right out of Eastwood’s hand!
Neil Gaiman
Neil Gaiman made sure a fan did not go home without an autograph. The devoted fan stood in line for hours, hoping to get Gaiman’s John Hancock on his favorite book. Unfortunately, Gaiman was using a black pen that would not display the signature on the dark-covered book.
Instead of shrugging, Gaiman had everyone in line wait as he rummaged around what the fan refers to as a “kid’s pencil case.” Eventually finding a silver pen, Gaiman went on to scribble his signature for the fan. Neil, do not forget to return the stationery to the children.
Carlos Santana
Carlos Santana is supernaturally nice to his fandom. A fan recalls the time when meeting Santana on a world tour for the release of an album, the musician added a little extra flavor to the experience by playing the guitar the fan brought for him to sign! Maybe Santana is just in the habit of boosting his fan’s egos.
Once Santana returned the freshly signed and fingered guitar, the fan decided it was time to turn the guitar into an ornamental piece. After having Santana’s fingers on it, the guitar was probably ready for retirement anyways!
James Taylor
Exalted American rock ‘n roller James Taylor makes sure to go the extra mile so his fans know he appreciates them, as evidenced by this Connecticut interaction. Bill Nye, the science and very friendly guy! A fan was assigned a station at the reception of Bill Nye’s apartment block. Upon meeting Brooks the second time around, the fan had the pleasure of meeting his wife, Trisha. Instead of allowing the focus to remain on them, the Brooks couple spoke at length with the fan and their family. Trisha apparently had no other interest but to take in every word from granny!
Paul McCartney
Paul McCartney has been saying “all you need is love” to his worldwide audience for several decades and the former Beatle certainly practices what he preaches, according to this fan. The fan was attending a concert held by Paul McCartney, and he and his brother managed to sneak a pic of the legendary singer walking past them backstage.
The two kids, unaware of the rules, inadvertently snapped his newborn in the picture too. A security guard immediately seized their phone. A flustered McCartney ran over to the children and apologized profusely for the mix-up.
BB King
Highly dextrous king of Jazz, BB King, knows how to work the crowd. A fan was in line to receive an autograph from the jazz virtuoso and witnessed the couple ahead of them gushing over seeing BB. The husband excitedly asked BB if he could recall having met over a decade ago when his wife was still pregnant.
Without missing a beat, BB replied that he absolutely remembers. The wife realized he was playing along to keep the husband happy and simply whispered, “Thank you, BB!”
Bill Nighy
English actor Bill Nighy, famous for his roles in “Love Actually” and “Pirates of the Caribbean,” made a lifelong fan out of this seventeen-year-old fan on the set of “Jack the Giant Slayer.”
The English actor, known for his demure and commanding presence, took the time to get to know the crew on the first day of shooting the fantasy movie. The fan recalls that his position as a runner on the set was the lowest ranking you could be, yet Nighy struck up a lengthy conversation with him and, in closing, told him he’s “a cool guy.”
Cameron Diaz
In a fiction meets reality situation, this fan got the proper “Almost Famous” experience when he got to spend an evening with his classmate, who was a cousin of Cameron Diaz. Cameron Diaz flew out to spend a few days with her friend, and the fan got to tag along for an evening of wine tasting.
The fan has a few memories of the evening, the least of not was leggy Diaz! The sociable Diaz made no fuss about being a celebrity in the crowd.
Amy Poehler
Comedian and actress Amy Poehler made the most of this fan interaction for her own amusement! The “Parks and Rec” and “Inside Out” actress roped the fan in on a prank with fellow actor and comedian Aziz Ansari, who was seated in the row ahead of the pair.
While the fan did not specify what sort of pranks were played, they did say that Ansari was ready to give them a tongue-lashing until he saw a giggling Poehler sitting beside the fan.
Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen DeGeneres got a bad rap over the last few years. Headlines have made the rounds over the previous few years, portraying her as somewhat disagreeable. A fan put these rumors to rest with this endearing story. The fan’s mother and Ellen met on a train ride and seemed to have clicked.
So much so that the fan’s mother invited Ellen to her upcoming birthday party – to which Ellen showed up! The pair have since remained friends and, according to the fan, still send each other letters. Letters? Is that a fancy word for email?
Sacha Baron Cohen
Comedian and provocateur Sacha Baron Cohen donned a wetsuit to learn how to surf, and this fortunate fan got to be the instructor! According to the surf instructor, Cohen was spending some time out of Los Angeles on a family holiday and decided it was time he learned how to surf.
We are assuming Cohen is not as natural a surfer as he is a comedian because the fan neglected to mention how he fared! The pair spent two hours on the waves before Cohen departed.
Chris Evans
We will let you in on a secret. Captain America has a weakness: two left feet! Chris Evans, a Hollywood hunk and Marvel superhero, might not have been aiming to go incognito with this encounter, but that’s precisely what happened when the mother of this fan’s friend got to experience his atrociously lousy dance moves.
The fan recounts that his friend’s mom accepted Evans's invitation for her to dance, just thinking he was a regular Joe Schmo at the bar. Only once they showed her the “Avengers” movie did she realize who he was!
Tim Robbins
Johannesburg is not exactly the best city to be suspiciously following people around. Luckily for this fan and his friend, actor Tim Robbins laughed at their antics. The fan was attending a jazz show when he noticed the tall performer in the crowd.
Trying not to fangirl too much, the fan kept his distance until he saw Robbins was about to leave. At that point, he and his friend tailed Robbins out of the club. The vigilant Robbins turned around, and the fan said, “Excuse me, Mr. Dufresne.” in reference to his “Shawshank Redemption” character. Robbins was relieved.
Weird Al Yankovic
Everyone’s favorite goofball, parody extraordinaire Weird Al Yankovic, threw in a sprinkle of good-natured self-degradation when a fan told him that meeting the comedian was the greatest moment of his life. Weird Al remarked that meant his life has not been particularly amazing.
The fan recounts how Weird Al took the time to introduce himself personally to the audience members, shaking hands and taking selfies. We are not sure where the weird part comes in, as Alfred Matthew Yankovic seems perfectly normal!
Rob Schneider
Funny man Rob Schneider melted this fan’s heart when he took the time to compliment her on being a mom. The fan was getting ready to catch a flight when the comedic actor remarked how beautiful her baby was.
The fan, busy getting all her luggage together, said thanks without realizing who it was until she looked up. The second thing she realized was how nice Schneider’s skin was! When she told her husband of the encounter, he would not believe her until Schneider walked past again and waved at her.
Magic Johnson
Even though basketball legend Magic Johnson has long since retired from the sports world, he certainly has not lost any of his magic.
A fan tells us of the time the colossal sportsman noticed the teenage fan staring wide-eyed at him during a Father’s Day lunch and graciously called him over. The good-natured Johnson engaged in a conversation with the whole family and obligingly took selfies with the group. Could there be any better way for Father’s Day to go?
