Love comes in many shapes and sizes. And in the world of wrestling, love is just as much in the air as anywhere else. Here’s a list of some of the wives and girlfriends of your favorite heels, faces, and superstar wrestlers, including some who have spent time in the ring themselves…
CM Punk & AJ Lee
We have seen plenty of times when life imitates art, thanks to the acting skills of wrestling. This time, it is three-time Divas champ AJ Lee and real-life husband CM Punk – real names April Mendez and Phil Brooks respectively – who mingled in real life after beginning an in-ring relationship in 2011.
At first, AJ was hooking up with CM Punk's on-screen rival, Daniel Bryan, before the writing had her give him the cold shoulder. It ended up being a pretty good decision since the two wrestlers have been married since 2014. Now they live under the radar in Chicago. Isn't that just adorable?
Charlie Haas & Jackie Gayda-Haas
Most people are a little hesitant to mix business with pleasure, but not Charlie and Jackie. This wrestling couple was part of the independent wrestling circuit when they got hitched in 2005. They have a quartet of little wrestlers, and they have also opened a store in Texas that sells nutrition and muscle-building supplies.
They might not be in the center of the spotlight when it comes to wrestling, but they have found something much more important than fame – and it does not matter if you are a Haas-been when you have the love of your life by your side.
Jack Swagger & Catalina White
Jack Swagger has plenty of energy to go along with a name that just bursts with power. Swagger, born Donald Jacob Hager Jr., has plenty of swagger in real life, having tied the knot with "FHM" and "Maxim" model Catalina White. Was it his on-screen swagger or his, we assume, love of Keats' poetry?
Whatever the reason, the couple had welcomed a little ball of swagger into the world, followed by another. Careful, Jack – too much swagger, and you might have to look at the idea of getting your supply cut off! Catalina is enjoying Swagger now rip it up in AEW.
The Undertaker & Michelle McCool
The Undertaker is one of the most legendary wrestlers ever to enter the ring. He's a man of mystery who has been buried alive, risen from the grave, and sent plenty of his opponents to their untimely demise all in the name of kayfabe.
Real name: Mark Calaway, The Undertaker might be a man on his own, but Calaway is wedded to fellow WWE star and Diva Michelle McCool - we hope that's her real name. Married life seems to have loosened Calaway up a little bit, seeing as he's been sharing on social media more. The couple has a daughter, and are often pictured on vacations or at special events together.
Rhea Ripley & Buddy Matthews
Over the last few years, Australian wrestler Rhea Ripley has entered the conversation as being one of the most ferocious female performers in recent memory. She is essentially the leader of the WWE faction The Judgment Day - which consists of other feared wrestlers such as Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and Damian Priest.
But in real life, Ripley is a bit of a softie at heart, especially since she fell in love with fellow wrestler Buddy Matthews. But there is a bit of tension between the two, as Matthews is on the roster at the WWE's main competitor - All Elite Wrestling, also known as AEW.
Road Dogg & Tracy James
Along with partner Billy Gunn, Road Dogg – real name Brian James – has won the WWE tag team title five separate times. Road Dogg is a team-up master apparently since he has also found lasting success in real life with a partner and wife, Tracy James.
The two have been together for much of Road Dogg's career inside the ring (they were hitched in September of 1996), and they're also the proud parents of three children. This Dogg is perfectly content to have a comfy spot on the porch with his number one gal. We've got two words for you...true love!
Rey Mysterio & Angie Gutierrez
The masked luchador Rey Mysterio Jr. is, as his name suggests, a man of much mystery. His flair for the dramatic and the incredible Mexican wrestling-inspired styles in the ring has made him a crowd favorite for decades. He has plenty of tattoos of his wife, Angie Gutierrez, and their two children.
Mysterio – real name Oscar Gutierrez – is a walking billboard of cool even when he isn't performing high-flying leaps and slams in the ring. This colorful character knows how to show off, and he isn't afraid to show off for his loved ones, too. Also, their two kids are wrestlers too.
Kevin Nash & Tamara McMichael
Kevin Nash is a unique character in wrestling, being one of the founding members of the New World Order. He's also the founding member of his marriage, along with his wife Tamara McMichael, which has been running smoothly since it began way back in 1988.
In 1996 the couple gave birth to son Tristen. Though the two decided to split up in 2000, sometimes true love takes strange twists and turns, since the two actually got back together before too long and have remained together ever since. Kevin has no reason to gnash his teeth anymore since it seems like this is a duo meant to last.
Heath Slater & Stephanie Miller
The Heath Bar (as we have only just now started calling him) is one of WWE's most unpredictable performers, competing as a tag team champion alongside Rhyno. Heath Slater is known for high-flying moves and hard hits like the “Corkscrew Plancha,” but outside the ring, his life is a little bit more down to earth.
He's been in a marriage to Stephanie Jean Miller, the mother of his two children since 2011. If you're a wild performer while the cameras are rolling, it's always nice to have something safe and secure to go home to after a day of body slams.
AJ Styles & Wendy Jones
As you may have already noticed, it's pretty common to see wrestlers hooking up with others from the ring. There are also plenty of times when a big name shacks up with someone who isn't in the spotlight, like in the case of AJ Styles.
He is bonded in holy matrimony (Styles is a devout Christian) to schoolteacher Wendy Jones, proving that sometimes love can blossom outside the ring, too. The couple has four children after about twenty years of marriage, and their names are Avery, Ajay, Anney, and Albey. Styles has all of the names tattooed on his torso.
Dean Ambrose & Renee Young
When TV personality Renee Young interviewed WWE star Dean Ambrose – ring name Jon Moxley – she ended up getting more than a good story. The two had instant chemistry and soon began dating. Four years later, they made it official and got married.
Get that picture of a beautifully-planned ceremony in a church out of your head – the two had a spur-of-the-moment wedding at their home in Las Vegas. We suppose that it is the right place to do it and we hope that at least they were surrounded by loved ones! These days, Ambrose performs in AEW as Jon Moxley.
Jeff & Karen Jarrett
While Jeff Jarrett is best known for knocking people on the head with his guitar, he is also a two-time husband. His first wife, Jill Jarrett, passed away tragically in 2007 after a fight with breast cancer. She was the mother of Jeff's three children, and the two had been together since high school.
Jeff was at first content with the widower life, but life had other plans when Karen Angle – the ex-wife of fellow wrestler Kurt Angle – entered his life two years later. Jeff and Karen each made their second trip down the aisle in 2010, and are still happily married.
John Layfield & Meredith Whitney
John Layfield has been keeping his finances in check mostly thanks to his wife Meredith Whitney, a financial analyst. The two got married in 2005, and they went to work diversifying portfolios, trading up, and...whatever else financial analysts do with their free time.
One of the things they were able to afford was a large, private residence in Bermuda, where the family has lived since 2015. While it might seem out of character for a high-flying wrestler to settle down with someone who works with numbers, it certainly does not hurt Layfield's pocketbook. The two seem to have made it work.
Zack Ryder & Laurel Van Ness
These two are on their way to the top of the heap as far as WWE power couples go. Laurel Van Ness and Zack Ryder – real names Chelsea Anne Green and Matthew Cardona – both made huge splashes inside the ring starting in early 2017. They definitely stronger together than they are as individuals.
But this duo became tag team partners for life when they announced they had gotten engaged in 2019. They have yet to tie the knot, but if their relationship is anywhere near as strong as it appears on the screen in the ring, they have nothing to worry about.
Bianca Belair & Montez Ford
There aren't many female wrestlers out there who can call themselves as prolific or as talented as the one and only Bianca Belair. Known primarily for her incredibly long ponytail, which she uses as a weapon against her opponents, Belair has been climbing up the WWE ladder over the last few years and has reached the very top, making history by becoming the longest-reigning women's champion since 2006.
Her husband, Montez Ford, is also a talented wrestler in his own right, being one half of the popular tag team, the Street Profits. As wrestling power couples go, they are right up there with the very best.
Christian Cage & Denise Hartmann
When Christian Cage, real name Jay Reso, went to England to take some tours, see the historical sights, and powerbomb a few opponents, he had no idea he would end up meeting his future wife. It was during a match that he first saw German model Denise Hartman, and was hit by a submission hold called love.
Somehow, he managed to get in contact with and woo Hartmann, and the two got married in 2001. They are now the proud parents of a daughter named Isla. Jay Reso is probably thanking his lucky stars he decided to have a few international matches.
Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae
Here is one example of a relationship that began in the ring and soon blossomed into the area of real life. Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae were opponents and partners in the ring several times in the ring before they announced their engagement in 2016.
Their engagement was a little bit shorter than most other wrestlers since this couple knew a good thing when they saw it. They got married after only eight months, and have been husband and wife ever since. They even had a child to celebrate their love together and they have not looked back even once.
Ricochet & Samantha Irvin
It's safe to say that Trevor Mann, better known in the WWE as Ricochet, is one of the most exciting young wrestlers of the last decade. What sets him apart from the rest is his innate ability to defy the laws of physics with his incredible leaps, flips, and stunts.
Then there is his partner, Samantha Irvin, who is these days regarded as the prime ring announcer in the entire federation. Heck, she even has viral clips of her making her iconic announcement post-match. The couple have been proudly in love since 2021 and are always posting beautiful photos of themselves enjoying each other's company on social media.
Mickie James & Nick Aldis
We think it is safe to say that out of the two here, Mickie James is actually the one who wears the pants in the family. Why do we say this? Well, most would agree that the Ruthless Aggression era wasn't as successful as the Attitude era that came before it.
Despite this, Mickie James held the torch for women's wrestling during this time and kicked a lot of backsides along the way. As for her husband, Nick Aldis, he isn't as well-known as Mickie, truth be told. With that said though, he is a pretty prolific face in Impact Wrestling, performing under the name Magnus. Prior to tying the knot, the couple welcomed their son into the world.
Jeff Hardy & Beth Britt
In 1999, Jeff Hardy was at the top of the heap after winning the WWF Tag Team Championship with his real-life brother Matt. The brothers loved nothing more than doing Swanton Bombs off ladders and landing on opponents through tables. Things only improved for this superstar when he met Beth Britt in a North Carolina club.
This couple certainly took their time making their way down the aisle, getting married after twelve years, in 2011. Their first daughter came in October of 2010, and their second came in December of 2015. The couple is still together, and Beth is often seen supporting Hardy at public events.
Bret Hart & Stephanie Washington
Bret “The Hitman” Hart was, at one point, the biggest star of the WWE. After Hulk Hogan moved on to WCW, someone needed to fill the power void. So Bret was deemed the man to usher the WWE into the '90s, but it only lasted a few years. And here is hoping the third time's the charm when it comes to romance.
Stephanie Washington is almost half his age, and the two walked down the aisle in 2010. Bret and Stephanie had some time before they beat his first marriage with Julie Smadu, which lasted a full twenty years. Julie is the mother of Bret's four children. Bret is one of the greatest ever to enter the squared circle, and his marriage records are almost as legendary.
Tyson Kidd & Natalya
Here is another example of love blooming first in the ring, then jumping to real life. Believe it or not, this WWE power couple met long before either of them had titles. They met before they had even started high school, but did not start dating until more than ten years later after both had become wrestlers.
Kidd and Natalya – real names TJ Wilson and Nattie Neidhart – took twelve more years before making things official. The event was even captured on tape as part of the debut season of the "Total Divas" reality show. Of course, Natalya's dad, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhard, was also a wrestler.
Big Show & Bess Katramados
Big Show – real name Paul Donald Wight II – might top seven feet when he stands in the ring, but he admits his wife is the more significant figure in their marriage. Wife Bess Katramados (who boasts her own respectable 5 feet 8-inch height) has the reigns of their relationship.
And now that the Big Show has shut down for good from the ring, she has plenty of opportunities to rule. The two have a pair of children together, as well as one from Big Show's previous marriage. Big Show may be a big guy, but the little one is usually the boss.
Kane & Crystal Maurisa Goins
Kane – also known in circles as the “Big Red Machine” is well-known for having a frightful on-screen persona and look, but past all the paint is a man named Glenn Jacobs. This wrestler and politician – he was elected mayor of Knox, Tennessee in 2018 – is married to Crystal Maurisa Goins.
The two met early on in Kane's career, and the two are now married and are the parents of a pair of children. He used to play one of the most legendary boogeymen of the ring, but now he plays dad, husband, and mayor. Glen Jacobs is very much settled these days.
Kofi Kingston & Kori Campfield
We've already heard about WWE The New Day member Xavier Woods, but what about his teammate Kofi Kingston? He's also a married man when not winning titles and pleasing fans in the ring – the Ghanaian-American wrestler got married to model and actress Kori Campfield in 2010.
We can only assume that the two met on a message board for people whose names start with the letter K. The two have a few kids, but if you're interested in pics, you might be out of luck. This star is well-known just because of how taciturn he is about his private life.
The Miz & Maryse
Some believe The Miz and Maryse – whose real names are Michael Gregory Mizanin and Maryse Mizanin – are the WWE's most star-studded couple. They had apparent chemistry on screen, which was in no part helped by their real relationship.
The two stars dated for many years before giving each other the rings in 2014 and chose to get married in an exotic place befitting their stardom and larger-than-life personas: the sunny Bahamas. The two are still married to this day and have daughters Monroe and Madison. They even had their own reality show. We guess M's run in the family then, don't they?
Randy Orton & Kim Marie Kessler
Randy Orton was on the scene for a while before he met Kim Marie Kessler. He was RKOing people all over the place, left, right, and center. And it is one of the unique stories on this list. Kim was a fan of Randy's wrestling, and had a big crush on him, too.
Kim managed to show up for a special event that featured Randy, and the two – against all the odds – managed to hit it off. It just goes to show you not to give up on your dreams, and maybe, just maybe, that famous object of your affection isn't as far as you think.
Cody & Brandi Rhodes
Brandi Rhodes is perhaps better known to wrestling fans as Eden Stiles, and when this diva went in to interview Cody Rhodes, the son of legendary wrestler Dusty Rhodes, neither knew it would end up with marriage. The interview led to love, and in 2013 the two tied the knot.
Rhodes is no longer in the WWE after failing to make his new character Stardust – who did appear in a few WWE crossovers with "Scooby-Doo" and the "Jetsons." Still, there is nothing he can not handle when he has love, and the outrageously gorgeous Brandi Rhodes, by his glorious side.
Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella
Brie Bella is one of the main stars of the WWE reality show spin-off "Total Divas," but she's also made her name and claimed her fame inside the ring as one of the most famous female wrestlers around. This exceptional beauty had her pick of suitors, ending up with the lucky Daniel Bryan, a fellow wrestler, and fellow WWE star.
The two were married in 2014, and they gave birth to a baby girl, Birdie, in 2017. In January 2020, Brie and her twin sister Nikki announced on the same day that they were both pregnant. What are the odds?
Hulk Hogan & Jennifer McDaniel
There's no one like the Hulk. Hulk Hogan was the man who brought professional wrestling into the public eye, with an unstoppable persona and the kind of stature that only a true warrior can achieve. Whether he was tearing his shirt in half or giving opponents any of his many signature moves, Hulkamania was not to be stopped.
He's also found joy in his personal life with his second wife, Jennifer McDaniel. Hogan had been in the public eye plenty even after he left the ring, and is also responsible via lawsuit for destroying the website Gawker. That being said, he'll always be a hero to us.
Johnny Mundo & Taya Valkyrie
Johnny Mundo and Taya Valkyrie, whose real names are John Hennigan and Kira Hennigan (née Forster), began as coworkers, wrestling with the stylistic and cinematic Lucha Underground. Eventually, Mundo found himself in the WWE, going by the name John Morrison. These though, he features in AEW, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, and Major League Wrestling too.
They've proved coworkers can find love together after Johnny Mundo made the short and sweet engagement announcement on Twitter: “She said yes!” That's a marriage that's sure to be full of pageantry and flair. We hope the neighbors are ready because there goes the neighborhood.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson & Lauren Hashian
The Rock might not be showing off in the ring anymore – he's moved on to movies – but we like to imagine he still shows off for his wife of more than a decade, Lauren Hashian. Johnson had legendary put-downs, plenty of memorable catchphrases, and lots of high-flying moves.
Still, now he's content just to be a world-famous movie star and the happy husband of Hashian, who is a singer and producer, and the daughter of former Boston drummer Sib Hashian. The two met on the set of "The Game Plan," but neither likely knew what the plan was for their relationship at the time.
Kurt & Giovanna Angle
Not only is Kurt Angle a famous wrestler, but he's also a gold medalist in the Olympics in men's freestyle heavyweight wrestling at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Beyond that, of course, Kurt went for the gold after the break-up of his first marriage and tied the knot with Giovanna Yannotti.
This love began when the two met on the set of a movie, the 2009 thriller "End Game." The movie might stink (and boy, does it stink. Does it ever), but the relationship has gone far – the pair have three children together, all daughters. Kurt Angle's just a softie when it all boils down to it.
Triple H & Stephanie McMahon
Triple H not only had powerful opponents to face in the ring but his father-in-law, Vince McMahon, is a dominant force in and out of the ring. Triple H – real name Paul Levesque – married Vince's daughter Stephanie in 2003, and are still together to this day.
This wrestling power couple not only appears in WWE storylines together, but they're adding their legacy to the mighty McMahon name: three daughters who might just end up being the new faces of the global brand once they take charge. We wonder if each of the three daughters' names begins with H. The quintessential power couple of the WWE.
Roman Reigns & Galina Becker
Roman Reigns is buried by boos and cheers almost every time he steps into the ring. While “The Big Dog” might be a love-or-hate kind of guy, there's one person who will always be in the love camp: his beautiful wife, Galina Becker. We hope, anyway.
These two were sweethearts back in college, long before The Big Dog started barking. They had a daughter in 2008, and six years later, they made it official and tied the knot. The two are still together, and we bet no one ever catcalls Galina when The Big Dog is with her.
Booker T & Sharmell Sullivan-Huffman
Booker T is no longer wrestling, but he is adding his voice to the commentary team for WWE. His real name is Robert Booker Tio Huffman, and for years he was on a rampage as part of the WCW. He was a big winner in the ring, and it appears he has found success in his relationship as well.
He got married to Sharmell Sullivan-Huffman in 2005, and the pair has their little tag-team duo of twin girls to love. We wonder why so many of these wrestlers end up with all girls. This is like the fifth time, after all!
Chris Jericho & Jessica Lockhart Irvine
Chris Jericho is one of those famous wrestler names that even smaller fans of the ring will recognize. He wrestled as “The Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla” in the WWE, but he's also the lead singer of the heavy metal band Fozzy. Other than these two examples, Chris leads a healthy life with his wife, Jessica Lockhart Irvine.
This couple has three children together after being married for more than seventeen years. Despite his star status in several fields, Chris Jericho, whose real name is Christopher Keith Irvine, is down to earth and enjoys being active. These days, Jericho is one of the stars of AEW.
Matt Hardy & Reby Sky
Going from day-to-day jobbing to starring as the main attraction, Matt Hardy has done it all in wrestling. He's the elder half of “The Hardy Boyz,” and not only does he have plenty of stories about his time in the ring, but his love life has been just as storied.
He's had plenty of front-page romances with fellow wrestlers, but they didn't make the final cut. His one true love is model, actress, and wrestler, Reby Sky. They got married in 2013, and they now enjoy the presence of two children, Maxwell and Wolfgang. Hardy now enjoys wrestling in AEW, and Reby's on board with it.
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin & Kristin Austin
The fourth time's the charm for the Texas Rattlesnake. Steve Austin is another well-known name even beyond the realm of wrestling, thanks to his dominant personality. He's also known for his numerous relationships. His fourth wife, Kristin Austin (née Feres), joined him in marriage in 2009.
The couple might not be in the limelight very much anymore, but they still share plenty of cute dog pictures on Instagram. We don't know how Kristin convinced Steve to make his fourth trip down the aisle, but she must be pretty special. Of course, Stone Cold was the WWE's crown jewel during it's extremely popular "Attitude." And that's the bottom line.
Rusev & Lana
This wrestling couple is dangerous in the ring, and they are just as close in real life. They are known as “The Bulgarian Brute” and “The Ravishing Russian” – which one is which? We will never tell – and they began their married life back in 2016.
Lana, real name Catherine Joy Perry, is an unforgettable beauty, and Rusev, real name Miroslav Barnyashev, indeed considers himself lucky to be in a lifelong partnership with her. Whether they're pinning opponents in the ring or chasing down the kids all around the house, this duo is always ready to put their athletic skills to the test.
John Cena & Nikki Bella
John Cena is one of the biggest names to ever come out of the WWE, being a ringside superstar and even a meme. He was basically the main face of the "Ruthless Aggression" era and has since gone on to star in his own shows and movies. He was also the fiancé of the other half of the Bella Twins, Nikki Bella.
Bella ended her six-year relationship with Cena in 2018, a heartbreaking story that was all over the tabloid magazine. Thankfully though, both parties were able to move on, with Cena tying the knot with Shay Shariatzadeh in 2020. Bella married Artem Chigvintsev and together, they had a child.
Kevin Owens & Karina Steen
Kevin Owens has had a pair of incredible events in his life. The first one was at the U.S. Open Challenge, where Owens took on John Cena and, to the surprise of everyone, came out with a victory after delivering one amazing slam after another to the famous wrestler.
The second significant event was meeting Karina Steen, his beautiful wife, and the mother of his two children. The entire family was in attendance when Owens got his big victory, and we are sure there was plenty of incredible celebration in that house for the next few days. Just don't tell Sami Zayn...
Mike Bennett & Maria Kanellis
Maria Kanellis is one of the most well-known divas that have ever joined the ring, most likely thanks to her wry smile and flaming red hair. She is no longer delivering her big hits, but she is on her husband's managing team.
Her husband is Mike Bennett, who is not an essential name on this list, at least, mostly because he is never been featured on a significant wrestling network. But Maria is working hard to change that fact – if her work behind the camera is anything like her work in front of it, it will not take too long.
Edge & Beth Phoenix
Edge – born Adam Joseph Copeland – is a Canadian professional wrestler who has had plenty of chances for lasting love, and was in two marriages before finally ending up with the beautiful and powerful Beth Phoenix. And it was worth the wait!
His third try down the aisle is now his most successful even after only four years. Anybody could tell Beth had plenty of muscles to show off when she was in the ring, and along with her beauty, any man would find himself lucky. Edge and Beth had a child in 2014 to add to their honors and got married in 2016.
Jerry “The King” Lawler & Lauryn Laine McBride
Jerry, “The King” Lawler, is a WWE legend (there is no question or doubt about it) and he is a legend with the ladies as well and is known to have wooed plenty of women. What was it about him that attracted his current fiancé, Lauryn Laine McBride? She says it was his sense of humor.
Even though she is quite a bit younger than The King, she accepted his proposal happily. Hopefully, things work out in the long run for these two, but neither one of them will stay single for very long – Lawler for his humor, and McBride, at the very least, for her beauty.
Jimmy Uso & Naomi
The Usos are part of one of the biggest families in all of wrestling - and it seems to only be growing with their relationships. Both members of this marriage are reliable and well-known wrestlers, and now they're another tag-team duo that nobody will want to face in or out of the ring. Naomi – whose real name is Trinity Fatu – was one of the female wrestlers featured on the reality show "Total Divas."
And her marriage to her husband Jimmy Uso jeopardized her spot on the show. However, Jimmy Uso has since suffered a long-term injury (out six to nine months thanks to his knee) Naomi's star is once again on the rise.
Bo Dallas & Sarah Backman
Bo Dallas is a workout warrior. Of course, he is – he is a professional wrestler! But his blushing bride Sarah Backman does not let her husband get too far ahead of her. Married since 2014, this couple were almost both wrestlers.
Backman was part of the NXT institution, which helps find the right talent for the WWE, and she got pretty close but never made it big time. But Backman has plenty of accolades already, and in a surprising lane: she is an eight-time World Arm Wrestling champ. We wonder what they are like in the gym! Seriously, who knows?
Bill Goldberg & Wanda Ferraton
WWE's leading rival company, the WCW, had Bill Goldberg as one of its big names. He was the man there, and rightfully so. But it was inevitable that Goldberg would make the transition to WWE at one point, and he's still an off-and-on wrestler with WWE, is a constant fan-favorite, and is part of the Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Since 2005, he's also been a husband, married to Hollywood stunt double Wanda Ferraton – the two met while working on the movie "Santa's Slay," which we're sure is a beautiful film. The two enjoy their home together in Bonsall, California, and they have a son named Gage.
Shane McMahon & Marissa Mazzola
One of the longest-running marriages to come out of the WWE is that of the current (on-screen, at least) commissioner Shane McMahon (son of Vince McMahon) and his wife, Marissa Mazzola. They got married in 1996 and are still together, having three sons since.
Shane, known as “Shane O' Mac,” is also the brother of Diva Stephanie, who, as we already know, is married to wrestler Triple H. She might not have the requisite physique or training to be a wrestler, but maybe one day, Marissa will join her WWE co-owner husband as the top brass of the organization.
Alberto Del Rio & Paige
Alberto Del Rio has had a tumultuous love life. After his first marriage dissolved amid rumors of adultery, he jumped ship from his first wife, Angela Velkei, to fellow wrestler and famous Diva Paige. Paige's real name is Saraya-Jade Bevis, a Brit whose high-flying moves have landed her at the top of the Divas list more than once.
These two big names – both in length and status – joined forces by announcing their engagement in 2016, but split in 2017. Paige moved on to Falling in Reverse lead singer Ronnie Radke. Alberto shacked up with nobody and was arrested on multiple charges in May of 2020.
Bray Wyatt & Samantha Rotunda
Bray Wyatt, born Wingham Lawrence Rotunda, married his university sweetheart Samantha Rotunda in 2012. For a while, everything seemed rosy. Things went according to plan for five years and the couple even had two children – Kendyl and Cadyn. The marriage began to fall apart when Rotunda began suspecting her husband of infidelity.
She was right to be suspicious. Wyatt had reportedly been having a secret relationship with Jojo Offerman, a WWE announcer. Some say Wyatt walked out of the marriage while others believe it was Rotunda who filed for divorce. Despite a turbulent personal life, Wyatt remained a crowd-puller on WWE Raw until his untimely passing in August 2023. He was only 36.
Sarath Ton & Sasha Banks
Sarath Ton had an intriguing start to his wrestling career. He made his debut in the ring as Kid Mikaze in the Premier Wrestling Federation before his WWE RAW debut as Rutherford Hayes in June 2012. He performed in the ring multiple times but was soon sidelined after a serious head injury. Ton decided to stay on but as a costume designer.
WWE even gave him the moniker Mikaze, a nod to his first stage name. It turned out to be fate because that’s when he first met Mercedes Varnado (AKA Sasha Banks) in 2010 when she was contemplating a makeover to have a wider audience appeal. She liked his work and him, a little more. The feeling was mutual. The two married and are still going strong today.
Rob Van Dam & Sonia Delbeck
Only a handful of wrestlers have a moniker as awesome as “Rob Van Dam.” And even fewer can boast of a rock-solid marriage without much drama, relatively speaking. RVD and Sonia Delbeck married in 1998. Even though other power couples in the WWE got most of the spotlight, RVD and Delbeck were endgame and went about things quietly.
For years, she traveled with him as he pursued his wrestling career. Fans were shocked when the couple announced their split after almost 20 years of being together. RVD shared on his socials that they were divorcing since Delbeck was allegedly unfaithful. Despite irreconcilable differences, the couple stated that they remain friends.
Mark Henry & Jana Perry
Mark Henry is one of the most woefully underrated WWE superstars. When you consider how long he's been in the WWE (hint: the world knew it as WWF still) it’s criminal how he never gets his due. Henry was a World champion and a two-time Olympian. The man took on legends like The Undertaker and Val Venus.
They didn’t call him the World’s Strongest Man for nothing! The consistency and formidable strength seem to spill over into his personal life too. Henry has been married to Jana Perry since 2005. The couple has consciously kept their private life out of the press. We don’t know much about Perry except that she lives a blissful life with her husband and two kids in Texas.
Kalisto & Abigail Rodriguez
Kalisto could be the next best thing after Rey Mysterio. There's no denying that. But he's been determined to blaze his own trail instead of living in the shadows of his successor's luchador legacy. He hasn't always been successful but you can't fault the athlete for his tenacity! Since joining the wrestling big leagues, Kalisto has taken some significant steps in his personal life too.
Not too many fans realize that the wrestler has been married to Abigail Rodriguez for a long time. She’s often appeared alongside him in WWE events and Hall of Fame ceremonies. The couple is very protective about their personal space — probably why their story has flown under the radar and why they seem blissfully happy.
R-Truth & Pamela Killings
R-Truth has been part of the wrestling scene (albeit on and off) since the WWE Attitude era. He first made a splash during a legendary Tag Team championship match. The wrestler teamed up with Road Dogg (imagine that unlikely pairing) and won! But the anchor behind many of his successes has always been his wife.
R-Truth has been married to Pamela Killings since 2011. Like many wives who come from outside the industry, Killings prefers staying as far away from the spotlight as possible. The couple is still going strong and has been blessed with a daughter. R-Truth has also made appearances in other federations such as TNA.
Mick Foley & Colette Christie
Whether you know him as Mankind, Cactus Jack, or Dude Love, Mick Foley’s legacy is one for the books. His journey to wrestling superstardom began as early as 1983, a good decade before he made it big. While trying to find his feet, he even starred in “Deadbeats” – a short film that also featured an aspiring actor called Colette Christie.
The two hit it off. Christie supported his crazy wrestling dreams even though she didn’t come from the same world. The couple married in the 90s and have four children. They’ve defied the trope of unsuccessful marriages in the wrestling world. The Foleys have made careers, life, and family work beautifully for over three decades now.
Billy Gunn & Paula Sopp
Billy Gunn has always been overshadowed by other memorable WWE superstars. He was part of Degeneration X and the other half of the New Age Outlawz. But nobody seems to remember his achievements, except him winning the 1999 King of the Ring. His quest for love ended up being a happier story.
Although his first marriage didn’t work out, Gunn eventually found true love with Paula Sopp and married her in 2009. Sopp usually keeps a low profile but her husband occasionally posts pictures of them together on Instagram. Gunn’s social media posts make it clear that she’s the rock in the marriage. She’s always been a crucial part of his life and remains that way still.
David Otunga & Jennifer Hudson
This pair is an example of when the partner is more famous than the WWE wrestler. Jennifer Hudson needs no introduction. Before she became a mega superstar, however, she was able to enjoy dating outside the public eye – like the time she dated former WWE superstar, David Otunga.
Otunga has chosen a different career path now, but he’s best known for his time on the WWE. He was one of the original members of the Nexus and version 2 of it called The New Nexus. Otunga became a two-time Tag Team Champion along with team members John Cena and Michael McGillicutty. Hudson and Otunga got engaged and even had a kid together but officially separated in 2017.
Sable & Brock Lesnar
As the undeniable Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar has struck fear in the hearts of many a wrestler. It’s hard to imagine WWE without the star even though he became part of the federation only in 2000. But did you know he found love early on with one of the original WWE divas? Lesnar only had eyes for Sable who's a superstar in her own right.
She's 10 years older than him but what’s age when it comes to true love? The couple married in 2006 and have two sons together. As WWE couples, Sable and Lesnar are some of the exceptions to the norm. Despite being big-name WWE stars, the pair prefers a life of privacy. They’ve seemingly built a fulfilling and enduring relationship over the years along with their two kids.
Dave Bautista & Sarah Jade
We don’t know about you but we miss seeing Batista (born Dave Bautista) go up against WWE heavyweights like The Rock and John Cena. Today people know him best as Drax the Destroyer in “Guardians of the Galaxy” – a role that seems like it was made for him.
Bautista’s been married many times before but one of his most publicized and adored marriages was with pole dancer Sarah Jade in 2015. She was his third wife but it seemed like this union was for keeps. Sadly, this was not to be and the couple divorced in 2019 after being married for four years.
El Hijo del Vikingo & Aleidis Luchadora
While he might not be as much of a household name as Rey Mysterio, El Hijo del Vikingo has made plenty of splashes in the world of luchador wrestling and beyond. So much so that the wrestler with the peculiar name has even performed at the WWE's main competitor, All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Outside of the ring, Vikingo is in a relationship with fellow luchador wrestler, Aleidis Luchadora. What you'll notice about this couple though is that while Vikingo is happy these days to reveal his face, Aleidis always makes sure that her face remains hidden in every photo on social media, whether she's wearing a mask or being covered by an emoji.
Tommy Dreamer & Beulah McGillicutty
Tommy Dreamer enjoyed a long stint in the WWE but retired soon after. Fans were curious to know what the wrestler got up to after retirement. It turns out that Tommy Dreamer was finding love and happily so with fellow wrestler, Beulah McGillicutty.
From 1995 to 1998, Trisa Hayes, best known as the flamboyant Beulah McGillicutty on WWE was a crowd puller on Extreme Championship Wrestling. She retired from wrestling to go back to college and marry the love of her life, Tommy Dreamer in 2002. The couple is still going strong and even share twin daughters together. The kids have even starred in “The Sopranos” as Tony Soprano’s nieces!
Becky Lynch & Seth Rollins
Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins are married and have a child together. When you look at the couple now vs. then, you see that it was always evident that the two were meant to be. Monday Night RAW has always been home for them.
And while they have now settled in comfortably to being a WWE couple, things weren’t as smooth sailing when they first got together. Lynch, better known as “The Man” has shared how she was worried about the public perception of them being an item. Balancing who to be in the ring and outside it was harder for Lynch than Rollins.
Drew McIntyre & Kaitlyn Frohnapfel
Drew McIntyre has won the WWE Championship and the prestigious Royal Rumble title. But the wrestler wasn’t as lucky in love initially. He married Taryn Terell in 2009. The marriage wasn’t meant to be despite them belonging to the same WWE universe. But McIntyre found love again with a doctor named Kaitlyn Frohnapfel.
In his biography, McIntyre shares how they first met and why he believes his late mother had something to do with it. It was 2013 and McIntyre was mourning the loss of his mother. He was also feeling demotivated at work. He was at a Tampa bar with Sheamus one night when Frohnapfel approached them. The rest is history.
Goldust & Ta-Rel Roche
It’s been a hot minute since Goldust was at once entertaining and creeping fans out in face paint with some seriously risqué gimmicks in the ring. For WWE fans in the early ‘90s, his black and gold painted face and eccentric persona will forever remain etched in collective memory.
Born Dustin Runnels, Goldust led an equally colorful life outside the ring. He was famously married thrice. His first marriage was to Terri Runnels, a well-known WWE personality and television host but the marriage fell apart. Then came his marriage to Milena Martelloni which ended within a year. He then married Ta-Rel Marie in 2012.
Charlotte Flair & Andrade
Most people know AEW star Manuel Oropeza AKA Andrade. And of course, everyone knows his wife, Charlotte Flair. She’s WWE royalty and a second-generation wrestler. Her father is none other than the legendary Ric Flair. That saying about the apple and the tree extends further in this case.
Just like her father, Charlotte’s personal life and relationships have been tumultuous. She had a rocky relationship with Riki Johnson after which she got married to Thomas Latimer for two years. Just when it looked like she was in a hopeless place, Flair found love with Andrade. The pair got married in Mexico in 2020. Recently, the rumor mill has been spinning with whispers about a breakup but all of it is speculation still.
X-Pac & Angela Nissel
Sean Waltman is best known as X-Pac or 123 Kid, depending on where your WWE memories feel most alive. The high-flying, charismatic wrestler brought extra swag to Degeneration X but he was a star in his own right. Yet, bad luck plagued the man’s personal life for many years. He dated the inimitable Chyna (born Joanie Laurer) for quite some time.
That relationship ended much before Chyna’s untimely death in 2016. Waltman also battled a host of mental health issues and substance abuse for years. Things on the relationship front started looking up in 2018 when he began dating Angela Nissel. And by all accounts, it seems to be going well so far.
Josh Alexander & Jade Chung
We have to be completely honest here — both Jade Chung and Josh Alexander are not exactly the most recognized names on this list. Despite the fact that neither wrestler has reached the pinnacle of the sport, they are absolutely beautiful to look at as a couple.
The two ended up tying the knot in 2016 and since then, both individuals have been tearing it up in a variety of wrestling federations. Josh Alexander made history during his time at Impact Wrestling, becoming the second-longest reigning Impact World Champion, hanging onto the belt for a whopping 335 days! We're sure that Jade is thoroughly impressed with her husband.
Brenda Nair & Diamond Dallas Page
DDP or Diamond Dallas Page is arguably one of the fiercest competitors the WWE has seen yet. He got his start in the industry as a wrestling manager. It wasn’t long before his talents led him inside the ring rather than outside it. By the early nineties, he was on fire as a competitor, giving fans exactly what they wanted to see – showdowns that were bold, big, and bad.
Some fans might remember that Page was married to fellow wrestler Kimberley Page in the early ‘90s. The couple split amicably in 2005. DDP got a second chance at love again in 2015 with Brenda Nair. The private ceremony in Cancun was magical but the marriage, not so much. In 2019, he announced they had filed for divorce after having lived separately for three months.
Jessica Gousha & Al Snow
Few WWE superstars were as outlandish as Al Snow. His presence was always larger than life, veering on the bizarre most of the time. Remember the “relationship” he had with a mannequin head? It’s not something you can forget even if you want to. Snow has been married thrice so far.
His most publicized relationship was probably with Cynthia Lynch, best known to fans as Bobcat. After two failed marriages, Snow fell in love with massage therapist and personal trainer, Jessica Gousha. The third time’s a charm as they say. It certainly rings true for this couple. Snow and Gousha have been married since 2017.
Harminder Kaur & The Great Khali
There was a time when Dalip Singh was ubiquitous to the WWE. You might know him better as The Great Khali though. From 2006 to 2014, he was quite the sensation not only for the “exotic” element but for his mad athleticism and strength. The Great Khali became the first Indian WWE Heavyweight Champion in the federation’s history.
He’s been married for a long time to former Indian actor Harminder Kaur. They met thanks to an arranged marriage set up by their families. The wedding took place in 2002 and the couple has been together since. They also share a daughter together.
Veronica Rodriguez & Finn Balor
There’s something about Irish wrestlers that makes the world sit up and pay attention. WWE has had many but Finn Balor ranks high on the scale of the most quirky of the lot. Finn Balor quickly made his way up the ranks – so rapidly that he was one of the fastest to win a WWE world title in the federation’s history.
It was 27 days after his main roster debut, to be exact. A few years ago, “The Demon King” found his partner in crime and queen in Fox presenter, Veronica Rodriguez. The wrestler confirmed that they got married in 2019 at a private ceremony.
Loree Bischoff & Eric Bischoff
You might know him best as RAW General Manager. At least, that was his character on screen. He was arguably one of the few who could beat Vince McMahon at his own game. And we know how tough that can be. But before Eric Bischoff found success in the wrestling world, he was a man of many talents. You name any odd job, and he's probably been there. Done and dusted too!
Mercifully, his love life hasn’t been as crazy. After his first failed marriage, Bischoff met and fell in love with Loree, the future Mrs. Bischoff. The pair got married in the ‘80s and have stuck by each other’s side ever since. They have two kids — Montana and Garrett. Additionally, Garrett decided to follow in his father’s footsteps into wrestling and entertainment.
Wendy Barlow & Ric Flair
Ric Flair is as legendary for his many marriages as he is for his presence in the ring. The wrestler has been married five times over the last few decades. His first marriage was to Leslie Goodman in 1971. The two were rock solid for 12 years before filing for divorce. His second marriage to Elizabeth Harrell lasted even longer — a whopping 23 years.
But even a love of over two decades wasn’t enough. They divorced in 2006 and Flair married his third wife, Tiffany Van Denmark that same year and his fourth wife, Jackie Beems in 2009. 2018 saw Flair with a new lady love – Wendy Barlow. The pair got married in 2018 and are still going strong today.
Karrion Kross & Scarlett
Karrion Kross and Scarlett aren’t just excellent partners in the ring; they're also married in real life. The couple broke the exciting news of their engagement to fans in 2021 and sealed the deal in an unusual ceremony a year later. They said their “I dos” in an ultra-private ceremony on a glacier in Alaska, no less!
What famously sets their relationship apart is the depth and intimacy that goes beyond the glamour of WWE. Kross and Scarlett have been a package deal since they first met. They were working together in NXT but the sparks truly began to fly only after both of them joined the WWE.
Sheamus & Isabella Revilla
Sheamus has been a fixture in the wrestling world for decades and is adored by fans. His and Isabella Revilla’s love story began in 2017, and by all accounts it was magical. In 2021, Sheamus popped the big question when the couple were together in Ireland, his home country.
Their 2022 wedding took place in the heart of New York in the presence of family and friends. The guest list included the who’s who of wrestling – Drew McIntyre (Sheamus’s closest friend in the WWE and his Best Man), Cesaro, and Miro. Revilla is a proud Filipino-American. She may not be from the WWE universe but she’s a super successful doctor and loan processor.
Sami Zayn & Khadijah Farhat Sebei
Sami Zayn has been a prominent face on the SmackDown roster for a while now. His achievements say it all. Winner of the NXT Title and the Intercontinental Title. Headliner of WrestleMania 39. Highly impressive stuff! As for his personal life, Zayn is seemingly a picture of contentment outside the ring.
He's happily married to his longtime partner, Khadijah Farhat Sebei. Khadijah stays away from publicity of any kind. Yet, the internet knows that she works in film and broadcast. She writes, produces, and directs with equal ease. Some of her works include projects like “The Burden of Knowledge” and a documentary about professional wrestling called “Drama.”
Aiden English & Shaul Guerrero
Aiden English is a star in his own right. We wouldn’t have "Rusev Day" without him and the wrestling world would be bereft of entertainment! But English is a different person outside the ring. He keeps his private life extremely private – to the extent that only a few people know he's married to Eddie Guerrero's daughter. You read right.
English has been married to Shaul Guerrero and the world is none the wiser. Years ago, Shaul Guerrero signed up to work in the WWE developmental system. She crossed paths with Aiden English during this time, and the rest is largely undocumented history. Their relationship and marriage have remained a well-kept secret.
