The Space Hero
A new series called “Space Hero” is looking to send a civilian into the great beyond. That’s right! The competition will feature a group of contestants who will compete for the prize of being sent to an international space station for 10 days. The participants, who will not be astronauts, will have to pass a set of grueling space-related challenges in order to be the next space hero.
Regular Folks
Do you need a degree in astrophysics or years of experience in engineering? The answer is no. All you need is a burning desire for space exploration, and well, probably the ability to pass some mind-bending space challenges fit for actual astronauts. If you win, that’s 10 days in a space station and we viewers get to watch it unfold. Are we going to witness the creation of our very first space city via reality TV show? Crazier things have happened to be honest. While don’t exactly know what the winner will be doing, we know that viewers will be on the edge of their seats, as this has never been seen.
Space Hero Inc. and Axiom Space
This super-futuristic reality show is a collaboration of two forces, space media company Space Hero Inc. and a private aerospace company founded by former NASA’s Mike Suffredini called Axiom Space. They will be overseeing all of the training and the logistical planning of the journey. The show is scheduled tentatively for 2023. For now, however, many things remain uncertain. According to Deadline, “it’s meant to be a worldwide phenomenon: Producers intend to hold an international search for contestants and broadcast the series across the globe.” Well, we cannot wait to see this!
