When the wind is blowing, and you’re trying to keep your mind on the ball, your hair might be doing something totally on its own. It kind of looks like this ‘do is trying to crawl off this player’s head, maybe over to the hot dog stand or out of the cold.
We look forward to the days when the sweep-cut – long on top and shaved on the sides – fades from existence forever, back to the dark and dingy hole it sprang out of. Stephan El Shaarawy looks like Ice-T decided to get into sports instead of rapping but kept the hairstyle.
Welcome to Asakusa
This photo was taken in Asakusa, a district in the capital of Japan. It is a very popular tourist destination and is particularly known for its unique blend of cultures, cuisine, and architecture. It is also known for its drinking culture and the haircuts that come along with it.
The weirder the haircut is, the easier you can blend in and fit naturally into the region's natural scenery. If you really want to feel like a local, dress with bright colors so you are seen from a distance and guarantee your unusual hairdo is appreciated by all. You are welcome!
Looks a Bit Haphazard to Us
Bald isn't a bad look, but it seems Djibril Cisse simply couldn't go all the way to the cue-ball style. He's left a single line from front to back, untouched. In addition, he's dyed all the hair on his face, including his eyebrows, to be bright yellow.
Was there some deep, personal reason for keeping two unequal halves of his dome separate when he stepped into the barbershop?
Maybe he did it himself, and he was in a rush to get to practice. If not for the remainder of his skull, this style wouldn't be that bad. We particularly enjoy the mustache.
You Can Paint Your Head On
Where do we start? Is this Halloween, and this guy has dressed up as a struck match? Is this real hair, or did he tattoo this on his skin, making the situation even more complicated than what we initially thought? Is it permanent? Can you wash it off? Are there other people like this or, is it only him?
What happens if he decides to let his hair grow? Did he pay the barber to have this done, or did he wake up in the morning and there it was? Did he try to erase it and realize you couldn't get it off, so he decided to go with the flow and uploaded a photo of himself, making others think he was ok with this?
All in One
On the one hand, this haircut is bad. It has no even lines, there is no relation or harmony between the shaved parts and the longer bits, and the extra large earing pompoms this guy added emphasize how one's attention should be focused elsewhere and not, of course, on the cut.
Now, on the other hand, why not? Where is it written in the book of haircuts that the lines have to be straight? Or that there should be some frame to the face? Where is it mentioned that you cannot shave whatever part of your head you wish to shave, even if there are no symmetrical shapes, and you end up looking like a dude with a broom stuck to his backside?
You're in the Army Now
Before we start going into detail, apparently, this soldier gave permission for the photo to go public on Reddit as long as it gets enough votes. Now, there are many things we can say about this hairstyle, for example, that you cannot expect the barber to be responsible for everything.
They are responsible for the lines of the cut and occasionally the color of the hair, but in no way can they take credit for the shape of the skull. We are not sure what the military's regulation is concerning haircuts, but we can confidently say they probably don't cover odd skulls.
Hairstyles of the Past
This ancient athlete is none other than English footballer Bobby Charlton of the England World Cup team in 1966. Was this post-practice? Maybe right after a game? We can't say, but it looks like Charlton needs to hit the showers and grab a comb. Charlton was only twenty-nine when this picture was taken, but he looks like he could be in his forties.
A lot of times, people looked older in the past for one reason or another – the cameras, less sunscreen, and fashions that “seem older” to younger people. We don't have a quick explanation for Charlton's near-elderly look, though.
Fashion on Vacation
The summer is here, and there is no better time to take your better half and tour the globe. Destinations with an open ocean and picturesque villages have always been our favorite, however, on our internet excursions, we came across this, which not only blocked our view but also gave us a lot to think about in terms of modern hairstyle.
We couldn't get over the fact that this guy deliberately did this to his hair, and then we realized this was a woman, which made us even more confused. Someone with a less-developed sense of style might not be able to see anything wrong with what's revealed here. They might just look for the nearest beer.
Are You Talking to Me?
What did this poor kid do to deserve a haircut like this? He must have turned into the laugh of the day when his friends in school saw him that morning, and the ones we can blame are his parents. Shame on them. No man, woman, child, or even animal, would be caught with one of these on their head these days.
There are so many adorable hairdos suited for the younger generation, and there is no need to give your kid a haircut that requires the assistance of a bowl. Bowls are for salads. Or cereal. Not for haircuts.
Jonny Bravo
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, we have found the soccer version of Johnny Bravo. Or a merger between Elvis Presley, James Dean, and Jonny Bravo. Either way, this is unique. Unlike most people (and unlike the soccer ball), Stig Tofting, the Danish midfielder, has a square-shaped face which contributes to his resemblance to the iconic cartoon character look.
We wonder how many more soccer teams have at least one square-face player. Maybe the accomplishment his national team achieved is all due to his hairstyle and shape? We can't blame the other players for missing the ball after coming across this on the pitch.
No Excuse for This
We have plenty of time and are ready to listen to all the excuses this guy has for this haircut. There is no reason in the world that anyone would deliberately do this to themselves. We understand the fact that the Tonsure (which is what this cut is called) is popular in Hinduism and is even performed on small babies.
But as we gather, this guy is not Hindu, and he is definitely not a baby, so what does he have to say in his defense? So, if you are a member of the Eastern Orthodox Church, a Buddhist, a monk, or a nun, you can live with it. If not, it is time to let your hair grow.
The Modern Version of Gargamel
If you are one of our more mature readers, it is most likely that you remember Gargamel, who used to chase the cute blue smurfs, aiming to turn them into gold. This was a hit animated show during the 1980s and even earned itself some big-screen versions.
If you have no idea what we are talking about, then this next photo will give you an idea of what Gargamel looks like. Gargamel was obsessed with those smurfs, and when he didn't get his way with them, he would lose his temper and let his steam out on his equally vicious cat, Azrael. Oh, wait, maybe it was Azrael who cut his hair?
Devil Lock
Remember the mullet hairdo? Take it and reverse it. This cut is kept short at the back and sides, while the front part of the hair is kept long. How on earth did this become part of mainstream culture? You don't have to be a heavy metal lover or a devil worshipper (though we have an inkling that there is a good overlap), all you need is a big load of guts to have a haircut like this!
Do you believe that the ocean view and the tranquility around will boost the appearance? Well, think again. Nothing can save you from the disaster your hairdresser has put you through.
Bangs That Make You Want to Scream
When Courteney Cox was cast to play the role of Gale Weathers in the movie "Scream 3," everyone was impressed as she was one of the hottest names in the industry back then. One thing people didn't take into account was the haircut she had to wear.
Now, the fact that this was only on set and Cox didn't choose to have her hair styled this way doesn't mean she didn't pay the price for looking like this in public. Thankfully, whoever was in charge of her hair when she played in "Friends" had a better idea of what they were doing.
Back to Front
We can only imagine what this guy looks like on the other side. We imagine that there's a pair of sunglasses involved, maybe a mustache, and a sophisticated, intellectual look on his face. Just another ordinary guy. But then he turns around...and the true party killer is revealed. This guy's hairstyle has probably been stuck with him since the late 1980s.
Hasn't he been informed that people don't walk around like this anymore? Especially not to a grocery store. If you do choose to appear like this in public, then there will be consequences, like appearing on this list, and it's not going to be the highlight of your day.
Unheard Of
After seeing this, we had to turn to a professional hairdresser or barber to better understand why people were doing this to themselves. One of the leading barbers in the state explained: "It is called a mullet pulled back. A ton of younger guys have been getting cuts nearly identical to that; It's a pretty common haircut.
You just don't see people putting them into ponytails or with the undercut going all the way around; it probably keeps the neck from getting really hot." Did you hear that? He had not seen or heard of people putting them into a ponytail.
Tortoise-Shell
You reach a certain age, and then you really don't give a hoot (or a different, more common, word) anymore, just like this lovely old woman in this photo. She has reached a certain age where she has realized she has nothing to lose. She can do whatever she wants, and the odds are there are not going to be too many consequences.
She has no job to go to every morning so there is no dress code to follow, she had already lost a good portion of her hair so even if dying would damage it, we are pretty sure she is not that concerned about it. In a way, we envy her, for she can sit and have a coffee, looking like a tortoise's shell and not having a worry in the world.
You Were An Icon, But This Is Not Good
The iconic and astonishing musician vanished from the work, and thankfully, this hairstyle or hairdo vanished and disappeared, too. Just because Amy Winehouse was blessed with a captivating and magnificent voice does not mean she could get away with anything she wanted stuck onto her head.
We envy people who can afford to walk out the streets with whatever they want and don't care about public opinion or what we have to say about it. If this were us, we would probably lose our balance and fall down on our faces before anyone got a chance to take our photo.
What Up, Ducktail?
To create this weird haircut, it first has to be greased, then combed back, and then parted to perfection down the back. Is this something accepted in the 21st century? We think not. It is named a ducktail hairstyle, not because it resembles a tail but because it resembles another body part near the tail.
This could be great for Halloween costumes, a great addition to anyone pretending to be an animal for the day, but to have your hair styled this way every day of the year? We can see the rest of the outfit. A big white belly and a yellow beak.
Hard to Believe
We find it hard to believe that this guy actually asked the barber to cut his hair like this. Is this even on the haircut menu? And if so, under what? A reverse mullet cut? This is like a combination of a backward Shaolin hairstyle and a catwalk male super model hairdo.
When we look a little closer, it also resembles Super Mario's mustaches stuck on a bald man's head. This is the perfect cut for attending a Zoom meeting, as only the front is shown, preserving a cool and up-to-date cut in the front. Don't forget that it saves thousands of dollars on hair shampoo and conditioner.
Well, Excuse Me
Who's the hairdresser who came up with this, and how much were they paid to execute it? There might have been a time when a mullet like this was acceptable, however, times have changed, and it's about time you change, too. This was very popular in the 1980s, and everyone looked like discarded mops.
By the look on this gentleman's face, he doesn't seem to be too happy with what his barber has accomplished, and we don't blame him. He obviously thought that wearing a suit and tie would upgrade the style. Can anyone here let the guy know it's not working?
Unplanned
What can we say about the 1980s haircuts that haven't been said already? All words to describe what was going on in barber shops almost half a century ago have been used, however, the actual cuts still manage to amaze us. It's as if, in the 1980s, everything was allowed, and there were no boundaries at all.
Music became louder, fashion became louder, and the parents, well, they became louder, too seeing their kids coming home looking like this. If this is the guy's natural hair color, then fine, but if it is not and he chose to go bronze, we must ask, hasn't your mother suffered enough?
Don't Get Too Close
The guesses for what this dude has on his head are endless. Some see a chameleon or a small lizard, and others see a squirrel on a really hot day. Either way, this style is not one you come across on a regular basis. Apparently, there are plenty of inspirational haircuts online, so this is not a first.
However, we must say the execution is phenomenal, and whoever is responsible for holding the clippers did an excellent job. We are not sure all employees would accept their workers hanging around the offices with whatever this is on their heads, so we would suggest this dude find a remote job or, even better, become a lizard catcher.
David's Cornrows
David Beckham, you know we think you are one of the most handsome men on this planet and will probably be one of the most attractive creatures on earth however, we have discovered some photos of you when you, how should we put this, did not keep up with standards. The one who thought of the geometrical design of the cornrows probably didn't take into consideration how people might end up looking.
Even Beckham, who can practically get away with anything, doesn't seem to pull this one off. Being a fashion icon, many followed Beckham's footsteps, and loads of cornrowed heads appeared on the streets. It became a plague and took a while to get rid of.
Rats and Cats
This is probably the worst haircut for either male or female. The rattail is, for sure, eye-catching, no doubt, but why would anyone want to trim their entire head and leave a rat's body part behind? There is no reason whatsoever to have one of these. We can clearly see Mr. LaBeouf feels the business and thinks he looks the business, but we are here to tell him otherwise.
There is no way in this world you can appear in public like this and expect to receive some positive feedback. We suggest you go back home and think carefully about what you decided to do. We expect you to come back with a different answer.
Long Hair on a Bald Head
When should you shave your head if you have started going bald, you ask? Right now! And not a minute later. When you start losing the top, it is time to say goodbye to the bottom. This style of hair has never seen grace in any period in history and remains an enigma to this day.
We continue to ask ourselves how on earth your barber allowed you to leave his shop looking like this and didn't insist on trimming some parts of it. We can assure you that this will not get better as it grows. You will not look better pulling the hair behind your ears, and even a hat won't do. There is no other option but to cut the lot off.
Polka Dots All-Around
Now, there is creative, there is outrageous, and there are things like this that are out of this world. This man was spotted (pun intended) walking with his head adorned in polka dots doing his weekly shop. The more adventurous will find this look attractive and unique.
The rest of the world will ask themselves, what is the purpose of trying to look like a leopard when clearly you are not? We have to say that we admire the fact that this dude went out of his way and wasn't satisfied with just a spotted head. He bleached and dyed his beard, too, delivering a magnificent and complete outfit.
How High Can You Go?
Let's talk about this top fade hairstyle for a moment and try to take everything in. Is this a kid trying to make his Hip-hop dream come true, or does he have height issues and is willing to do whatever it takes to make himself look a little taller?
No matter what the reason is, we are not sure how high he could go looking like this. Just look at him. He feels tall, above all humanity, and is oblivious to the fact that he looks as if an extra large beehive has just landed on his head, just buzzing with excitement.
Let It Grow
If you ever wondered what people who have long dredlocks looked like during the process of letting the locks grow, then look no further, as we have found stage 2 of the phenomenon. Meat Rusty. Rusty has just come back from a gap year traveling the world, and like many others, he didn't wash his hair properly for all that time.
During these days, he decided to go wild and grow dreadlocks, however, he wasn't aware of the many stages this would require him to go through. Here, Rusty is seen as too embarrassed to look at the camera, for which we can't blame him.
This Is Not a Joke
Rule number one: Before attempting to give yourself a haircut, make sure you have spare clippers available, or else you could find yourself looking like this. All this guy wanted was to save himself a few dollars by buying his own clippers and not having to go to the barber every three weeks.
Then, in the comfort of his own home, he could put a towel around his shoulders and shave off his hair without having to worry about booking appointments or wearing a shirt full of small hairs. The one thing he didn't think about was the possibility of his clippers dying on him in the middle of having a haircut.
Home Made
There is no need to persuade anyone here. It is clear that this haircut was executed independently. This dude is no stranger to the scissors, and he usually saves himself a few dollars by cutting his own hair. However, this time, things got a little out of hand (including the scissors).
Maybe the front part of this unique hairstyle is not all that bad, and he can manage to get away with it. His loving partner or loyal roommates must have hidden the mirror after revealing this, sparing him shame and embarrassment. The winter cold breeze must feel a little chilly on the back of his head.
This Is Not What I Wanted
This lady has beautiful silky hair which can basically work with any hair style. She can have it running long or keep it shoulder length with a farrah fawcett touch, and she can even have it short. As short as she wants. One of her favorite hairstyles is the 1920s-influenced Bob cut.
The traditional Bob cut would feature a side parting and was one of the most popular hairstyles in the early 20th century. This lady's final hair result is not exactly that. In fact, it is anything but that. This is more like Clair's Pencil Haircut as featured in one of the episodes of the show "Fleebag." Can you see anything else but that?
The Headphones Are Not Going to Help
So besides Jim Carrey as Lloyd Christmas, who else appreciates this hairstyle? Because we don't. This guy walked into the barbershop and asked for his hair to look exactly like the material his clothes were made of. Not only that, he made sure everything was color coordinated.
When the barber was done cutting his hair, the dude realized it wasn't what he was expecting. However, it was his lucky day. He had his headphones with him and believed he could cover himself with them. Sorry to break the news, dude, but the headphones are not going to be enough at this point.
Do You Need an Attorney?
This is a creative way of making a lot of money and becoming a millionaire before turning 30. All it takes is going to whatever hairdresser this one went to, asking for a bob haircut, and ending up with this. There is no judge in any court that would suggest going all the way with this.
After taking in all that has happened, mercilessly suing the hairdresser would be the next step to take. Go for as high as you can and assure yourself a nice little income for life. The hair might grow, and people will eventually forget all about it, but the embarrassment, the shame, and the post on Reddit will live forever.
Weather Conditions
What happens when you are one of those people who tend to get hot in certain parts of your body and cold in others? Very simple. You track down this dude and ask him where he got his haircut. If your head suffers from the heat, no worries, as the hair is shaved off, and you can allow the cold breeze to cool it down.
If the back of your head tends to get cold, no worries here either, as by the look of it, this guy's barber took a few steps forward, too. The natural charcoal hair locks are an authentic cold weather warmer that goes with you everywhere. What more can one ask for?
Two for the Price of One
This is what we call being well calculated. This is a professional way of saving money for a rainy day, however, it proves that you do have to go without. It was Halloween, and this dude wanted to go as a backward Shrek. Coincidently, it was time for him to have a haircut, too, however, he couldn't afford to pay for both things.
He had to choose between his backward Shrek costume and having his hair freshened up. After consulting his hairdresser, they realized they could have it all. And there you go, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call a Shrekcut.
Back to the Future
Mom and Dad are out, and the grandparents have come to stay with little Eliot until they come back. It was a Friday night, and what could be better than going out for dinner to celebrate the weekend? Little Eliot and his grandfather thought it would be cool to dress the same and style their hair the same way.
This would mean taking whatever hair is left on your head, combing it back, and spraying it with grandma's hair spray, hoping everything stays in place for the entire evening. Eliot, your grandfather knows what's working for him, he doesn't really know what's working for you.
Going for the Distraction Method
Brazil forward Ronaldo Nazario loves to crack a joke here or there, such as in this image. He also sports what might be the most laughable haircut we've ever seen on a football player, but we aren't chuckling with him on this one.
We barely even know how he might have accomplished the cut since it looks like the buzzed-short hairline goes down past where it used to lie.
Did he get implants to add more hair? Also, why did he get this cut in the first place? It does draw the eye – maybe it's to keep opponents off their game.
Neckbeard
Forget about standard haircuts and masculine mustaches and beards and embrace the new era of long hair and neckbeards. We are still unsure if what we are looking at is a continuation of the chest hair this guy has or if he deliberately asked for his beard to be cut this way.
It is as if his beard had its own beard, or this is a lion in disguise that had to alter his mane so no one recognized him. Or was it the other way around? Anyway, whatever it is, a beard's beard, a lion's mane, or a clown makeup made of hair, we suggest you stick to your day job as this is not going to get you anywhere.
An Odd Haircut
By looking at this young boy's face, do you think he was satisfied and content when walking out of the barber's that day? We think not. Even if you are planning to go for a cross between a mohawk and a mullet, there are still rules and guidelines any hairdresser must follow. We wish we could see the other side of this boy's face.
We bet it is just as bad with short, almost shaved sides. Imagine the other half of the head not being cut at all, and what you see on the top is just the beginning of a long and flowing hair covering this young man's beautiful face.
Cornrows
There are some hairstyles that require a pair of talented hands and a good set of scissors, however, there are some that need very little, like this one. This guy was blessed with gorgeous, silky, straight hair that has only one downfall. Whenever he goes out bike riding and is obliged to wear a head helmet, he ends up looking like this.
His hair is so fragile that the pressure of the helmet gives it no option but to adapt to the new condition. One thing is for sure: there is no need to spend money and time having your hair done in cornrows. You can have it done naturally.
Tragedy
This is not a before-and-after look. This is one haircut showing how you can go to extremes on both the back and the front of your head without compromising anything. The back features the outlines of a rat, with an innovative and fun element of a tail, which we love.
The front is a little less creative but just as scary as the back and features unexplained bangs in this person's natural color hair. Instead of leaving hair on top, this dude decided to shave it all off and just grow a beard. It turned out this creation was seen online somewhere, and he felt an urge to do the same. Why? beats us.
Zero Fade
For this next one, we will start with a quote. "My barber apparently didn't know what a zero fade was." We are heartbroken, but luckily, this is just hair, so it will grow back in no time. The barber is either not up to date with the latest fashionable hairstyles, or he has a severe hearing problem. This guy obviously said, "Give me a zero fade," but the barber heard, "Give me a Bert and Ernie."
So, when visiting this specific barber, the options are limited. There are standard haircuts that don't require too much knowledge or updated info, and there is the Bert and Ernie (also known as the Bernie style), that will result in looking like this.
Taking Things Back to the Eighties
The mullet was once the hairstyle du jour for men who wanted to be hip and happening, but that time has long since faded (no pun intended). In fact, it's been the good part of four decades since it was remotely a thing. This cool cat, however, isn't prepared to let that decade fade away.
Despite the fact that this bit of hair looks about as natural as a blue mustache, he seems to have no idea that others might be laughing at his coif. The color is all wrong, the layering is obvious, and unless we're mistaken, he has a little ponytail poking out the back of the flow!
Haven't Made Up Their Mind
The look on this lady's face screams, "I know, this is a bad haircut. There's not much I can do about it now, though, so why don't you just take a picture and get out of my face." Apart from the fact that this is one of the weirdest haircuts we've seen in a while, we're wondering how this woman's hairdresser managed to put all these elements together.
Spikes are on top, tails are at the back, and if that isn't enough, there is an undercut, too. We have no idea what statement she was trying to make. Can someone please explain?
Where Do You Think You Are Going?
Many women around the world are short haircut lovers (and so are we). There is something about short haircuts that emphasizes the beauty of a woman's face (just like in this photo). Now, although actress Tilda Swinton is gorgeous and her short hair suits her perfectly, as expected, we have something to say about it.
If only the top part had been proportionately level with the rest of the cut, this would have been a perfect creation. However, they had to exaggerate and take things t a little too far, making her look like a stunning woman with a broom stuck to her head.
Say Cheese
We can't blame this boy for looking away from the cameras and not being willing to have his photo taken. If we ended up looking like this, we would try to hide, too. We can't understand parents who would do such a thing to their kid, no matter if of their own volition or of the kid's.
In years to come, this poor boy will find the right time for revenge. It is not only the hairdresser who will have a lot of explanations to do, as his parents will have a lot of questions to answer as well. We hope that as he grows, he won't remain traumatized by this episode in his life.
A Great Believer
According to the Hare Krishna followers, the length and appearance of this unique hairstyle all have a meaning. So, that's great, and we respect all faiths, but we do wish this one could have come up with something more appealing. We are still unsure who will win the race — Hare Krishna or the rattail.
It may be great on hot summer days, but the hanging tail in the middle of the scalp might look better under a hat. From the front, you might look like a normal guy with a normal buzzcut, but as soon as you turn around, well, people are going to look.
You've Got a Friend
If you are not updated with the latest haircutting devices, then no worries, as we are about to fill you in on all the innovations in the barber world. Say you are after a new hairstyle shaped like an iron. There is no need to get someone to cut your hair at the exact angle to make it look like an iron, and all you have to do is call your friend, who will do it for you for free with this new device we found on sale.
There is a limit to how one can ruin a haircut and how ignorant one can be. No, there is no new cutting device that can create this look, and no, we have heard that the two are no longer friends. Probably for the best.
This Is What's Called a Daring Hairdo
Everybody wants to have their own brand. From shorts and tees to suit coats and shined shoes, people have specific clothes that they gravitate to. Personal makeup and piercing looks, too. This lady has achieved it at last – a look that is uniquely her own. A beehive hairdo and layers upon layers of makeup make her memorable and colorful.
What's in her cart, we wonder? Hairspray and makeup brushes? That makes the most sense. Take this lady's advice and do something unexpected for your next trip outside. Personally, we can't take our eyes off her, and if that's not a compliment, we don't know what is.
We Are Complete
This next image is what we call, a true relationship between a father and son. Or between a professor and his student, we're not sure. It doesn't really matter, it's just a reflection of what goes on between two people who really complete one another no matter how ridiculous they look.
All we can do is hope these two have learned their lesson in life and that there won't be any more bad decision-making in life like this. We must admit that we appreciate the creativity and that they have embraced the fact that, like everything in life, hair, too, is temporary.
Playing on a Windy Day
When the wind is blowing, and you're trying to keep your mind on the ball, your hair might be doing something totally on its own. It kind of looks like this 'do is trying to crawl off this player's head, maybe over to the hot dog stand or out of the cold.
We look forward to the days when the sweep-cut – long on top and shaved on the sides – fades from existence forever, back to the dark and dingy hole it sprang out of. Stephan El Shaarawy looks like Ice-T decided to get into sports instead of rapping but kept the hairstyle.
Sonic the Hedgehog
If you were born after the 1980s and always wanted to know what people looked like in those days and what all the fuss was about, well, look no further. This is a perfect example of the creative side of things and of the hairstyles that were acceptable at the time, but not anymore.
We don't have a problem with the back part, as we are great supporters of the long spike look, but what gets to us is the very top. What was she thinking? Was it necessary? Sonic the Hedgehog was born only a decade later, so please explain where the inspiration comes from.
That Hair Though
We’re just as amazed as you are. There’s no way these dreadlocks didn’t make it into the Guinness World Book of Records for the world’s longest and thickest dreads. If not, the titleholder may have some serious competition. This style of hair has become more mainstream over the years.
They are not typically the most hygienic, but if you maintain them well, they can look pretty cool. It must have taken this person a lot of time and dedication to grow their dreads this long. Though maybe we shouldn't use "dreads" plural, as this looks just like one big, humungous deadlock all alone by itself.
This Is What Happens When All You Want Is a Girl
This little boy was not asked. He was taken to the hairdresser by his mother, sat on the chair, and 20 minutes later, he turned out looking like a young version of Farrah Fawcett. His mother had been praying for a little baby girl for years, and instead, she was blessed with this cute boy and four other sons.
When she embraced the fact that she was not going to have a girl, she decided that if things were not going to happen her way, she would just have to work with what she's got. And if this meant that her beautiful boy would be frustrated and embarrassed to walk out of the shop, then let it be.
Crying for Attention
You know the trend of more mature men trying to knock off the years and are willing to do whatever it takes to look younger? Well, this is a perfect example of an older man who has decided to take things a little too far when deciding to go young.
We are not saying that long hair does not suit men who have passed their 25th birthday (or maybe we are?), but what we are saying is that if you do decide to go long, the least you can do is go for some style. A little sophistication and glam could have seriously upgraded your look, however, you chose to go with the ridiculous one.
It's the Final Cut Down
As we try to figure out if this was intended or accidental, we have come to realize that the only thing this looks like is a thumb after the car's door is slammed on it. The only thing that can justify this is that we learned it was done during lockdown (still not a strong enough excuse for us).
Apparently, this dude had a bet with his friends, all saying he would never pull this through. Well, he did, and he was stuck with this ridiculous haircut for at least a couple of weeks until it began to grow back again. As for his friends, he had not heard from them since, and who could blame them?
What the Frank?
Are you serious? Is this a member of some country's governments? This is Boris Jhonson, the Ali Express version. We understand that British politics are going through a tough phase at this moment, however, there have to be limitations to what the people of the UK are expected to go through.
The taxpayers pay enough money through the years, and the least the members of parliament can do, and this includes Michael Fabricant, is to get a decent haircut. It's either that or we suggest that they find a new day job. The British reputation is too fragile to disturb.
This Cost Him $300
David was born with curly hair. Throughout his life, he suffered from mean kids laughing at him for continuous bad hair days, so he decided that when he had money, he would invest in having his hair straightened. The big day came and David got his savings together and went off to the local hairdressers.
Little did he know that the $300 dollars might have delivered him with a new hairstyle, however, he did not make any of the insults go away. Poor David, who has worked so hard for so many years, will have to think of a new solution to his new problem.
Photoshop?
The more we look at this photo, the more we ask ourselves if this is real or the work of our friend Photoshop. If there is a barber with a name behind this hair creation, they should be put behind bars as there is no excuse for doing this, even if this guy does owe you a lot of money.
If the magic of Photoshop is behind this, then we must understand why. The best excuse we can find is that this guy wanted to get back at his barber as he apparently has a habit of terribly cutting people's hair, so he posted that and said that this was the creation of so and so. Beware!
Valentina Petrenko
Before we talk about the haircut, let's talk about the person wearing it. This is Valentina Petrenko, a Russian politician who served as the Russian Federation Senator during the first decade of the 21st century. During her political career, she earned the Order “For Personal Courage” following her part in the release of children in captivity back in 1993, for which she is best recognized.
As for her haircut, we are pleased to say that she put in a lot of research, thought, and courage when opting for it, just as she did when she was negotiating the release of the children. Her hairstyle has become a sort of hallmark of hers, and the rumor is, she hides something in there.
And You thought the Movie Was Scary?
Could you imagine going to see a movie and coming across this? The back of the head is all shaved off, however, they still took the time (and gave the money) to bleach it. Then, the top part, which has been kept long, is colored coal black, delivering a significant contrast between the two shades.
The people sitting by them don't seem to be bothered or disturbed, so we start to think that the problem is with us and that, in fact, there is nothing wrong with this hairstyle at all. If Sia can do half-and-half and still look incredibly good, there is no reason why they can't.
Out of Control
The number of gels and mousses used to create this daring look is endless and can only come in favor of those who count the dollars. Maybe hair salons have a secret agreement with fashion influencers?
We have a feeling this woman is not very social and is willing to do anything she can to make sure people stay away from her, well at least the ones she is not fond of. If we would see her walking down the street, we would for sure keep our distance as we wouldn't want one of those scary spikes poked into our eyes.
In the 1970s, You Were Not Alone
This was a very common sight during the 1970s. Most children looked like this. And if they didn't look like this, then their mothers wanted them to look like this. This poor kid's mother got her own way, and the girl found herself getting on the school bus wearing her bob with the top part pulled back.
They said this way, the hair didn't get in your eyes. As it turns out, many of that lost generation have grown bangs in defiance of what their parents did to them. They have not grown the front part of their hair since.
Poodle Perms
Dolly, Dolly, Dolly. If we go down memory lane and have a look at your photos, we will have a lot to say about most of them, especially about your hairstyles. We have learned to love and accept most of them, except for this one. Tiny curls rolled and tucked together, creating bunches of stiff poodle look-alike coats, are a big no-no, no matter who you are.
Let's put it this way: poodle perms were not the most flattering hairstyles at the time and they are not today. Dear Dolly, you have so much money, why didn't you sue the hairdresser responsible for this?
The New Ear Cut
Did you know hair could actually grow like this? We didn't know, either. Maybe the full moon shining that evening was the inspiration behind this new hairstyle, or maybe this is the way to get better sound quality when listening to your favorite music.
Either way, if this photo is featured on our list, then there is something wrong with it. We can only imagine what this looks like when the hair is all grown out and if it does significantly have an impact on the quality of sound. Still not sure what is worse. This, or the natural motorcycle style.
Is This Ethan Klein?
Ethan Klein is one of the most popular YouTubers on the H3 podcast. Their hellacious content made them go viral globally, and they are considered founders of internet culture. Klein has gone back to his biblical roots with this creative Moses-parting-the-sea-cut, although we do wish the sides would collapse down so we could drown all of our sorrows.
Ok, we know this is not really Ethan Klein, but you have got to agree that, at first glimpse, you did believe it was. It made perfect sense that he was working on some new material for his show that required a new hairstyle.
We Kid You Not
We are serious when we say this was a real haircut during the 1980s however, we are not in the 180s anymore, so there is so much explaining to do. This kind of hairstyle was called a shag and, for some reason, is making its way back into our hairstyle vocabulary.
The shag was best friends with the same era mullet and rat tails, however, non of them featured what this guy has on his neck. Can someone explain its purpose? Are we in for a neck-warming biological scarf? is it some kind of an attempt to create a backward mustache?
First Attempt
This next haircut mess-up was published on Reddit, so it's not so long gone. A young dude shared that his mother went on a hairdresser's course, aiming to make a change in her life as she was looking for something to keep her occupied. The course lasted nine weeks, and when she completed the last lesson, she said she first wanted to cut her other son's hair.
His hair was out of shape, and although it was already gray, it was silky and easy to work with. She couldn't wait to get to work and prove the rest of the family wrong when they all said she was wasting her money going back to school.
Just Cut It Off
This is a wake-up call. Men, it is time to cut off your hair as you start going bald. There is no point in going to the barber, asking for a faded haircut, and then getting disappointed when you end up like this. The answer is going to be straightforward. Get clippers, and shave off your hair. The beard can stay, but that's where the facial (and head) hair ends.
Just think of it. Sir Patrick Stewart, Mike Colter, Pitbull, Shemar Moore, Woody Harrelson, and many others are all bald and considered to be hot names! With a little self-belief and confidence, you can be one of those hot and bald men, too.
Homemade Bowl Cut
Is this an illusion caused by the haircut (if you can call it a haircut), or is this man's neck way out of proportion? This is so disturbing; it actually hurts our eyes and makes us feel nauseous when we look at it. Maybe we have literally discovered a new phobia.
Maybe people have been suffering from it for years but weren't aware that there were many like them out there, so no one ever said a word. Being afraid of haircuts like this is apparently very common, and there are people all over the world who feel the same as they come across something like this.
All at Once
The thing that interests us most is what this dudette told the hairdresser when she walked in for a new haircut. “I want both sides long but above the shoulder, and don't cut it too short. Then, I want the top part to be diverted to one side, making sure it is at a different length. Make sure you don't forget the bangs.
Now, I will always pin the bangs back to the side, so make sure it is long enough to be pinned. Then, on the back side, I want it shorter so I can have spiky hair, too.” There are four different hairstyles here, and one thing is for sure — they all want to talk to the manager.
Stay at Home
This young person was unsure as to what haircut they wanted to go for, so they decided to try a few at once. So, the top part is what we call a bleached dead rat on head style. The back part is a black mullet, and the sides are a combination of the two with a dazzling addition of red polka dots.
The sides can also be referred to as the orange wild Chita print, which has worked well throughout all seasons of the year. The secret for this look is making sure you have no eyebrows, or at least make sure they are bleached. The last thing you want is anything taking the attention of the marvelous creation on your head.
This Is the Last of You
This next photo features Ian Alexander arriving at "The Last of Us" premiere back in January 2023. The actor is known for the role of Lev in the show and Gray Tal on "Star Trek." They are also recognized for their bizarre haircuts, like the one we see here.
We appreciate the fact that big Hollywood stars can afford to wear whatever they want and have their hair any way they want, however, things went a little bit too far here. All this needs is for Alexander to make up their mind and decide if they are going for a cool undercut, cute bangs, or just keeping it simple and long.
Transport Me to the 1960s, Please
Everything was good in the 1960s. It was the era that introduced big television screens, bell-bottom pants, music that is still listened to today, and fashionable go-go boots in all colors of the rainbow. Oh, and it also introduced the Beatles haircut.
The Fab Four were huge fashion influencers, no matter what they looked like, and although their hairstyles were not everyone's cup of tea, people still copied it — including this dude. He just walked into his local barber and asked to look like an early version of Ringo. It was either that or Halloween came early this year, and he decided to dress up as a mushroom.
The Rainbow
Besides the point of this being really bad for your hair, it is also extremely expensive, so the dream of becoming a fierce unicorn will have to just fade away. It can look amazing in professional photographs, but in reality, all colors blend into one another, making you dream of something completely different.
If you have decided to go against our suggestion and still color your hair in all colors of the rainbow, we will insist on wearing clothes in neutral colors to tone things down a little. With what you have on, people are going blind and are hurting out here.
Behold
Is this a result of staying at home during the world pandemic? Because if it's not, then what is the story behind this haircut? If we focus for a minute on everything around this unique style, then we are kind of content. We love yellow glasses as they are chic and full of character and sophistication.
The nose ring has become a common thing to see in men and women these days, and we believe that even this guy's tattoos have a great story behind them. If the entire length of his hair were to be red, we could try to understand his statement, however, the inconsistency is disturbing and promises a stable place on our list.
Whatever Star You Want to Be
Here is another great example of what happens when your hairdresser has a hearing problem, and you end up looking like this. We will start from the end. The hairdresser gave this guy a 10% discount voucher for his next cut, which sounds pretty presumptuous as the hairdresser is under the impression this dude will be back.
Anyway, all this guy asked for was a simple trim, nothing too dramatic. The hairdresser heard: "You want to look like Johnny Depp in Charlie in the Chocolate Factory?" We hope this was done around Halloween time so he could have at least taken advantage of this terrible terrible disaster.
Split Personality
If you're on your way to a Halloween party, we can live with this, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Are you trying to make a statement or do you believe it's okay to double-dye your hair? What would happen after the roots kick in? You're not Sia. Please stick to one shade.
Dyeing hair has been around for centuries, but this time, it has gone a little bit too far. There should be a very specific guideline as to what colors can be used and how exactly to create a stylish and appealing look. This, without a doubt, does not comply.
No Hair, No Ponytail
At first, we thought there was some kind of reptile crawling on this guy's head, and from a distance, it does look like some bird or lizard having a blast. Then we realized it was his hairdo. We feel this guy is doing everything in his power to preserve whatever little hair he still has instead of embracing the fact that the time to go bald has arrived.
Nothing could be better than taking a razor and saying goodbye to this. One more thing — if you are going to pretend to have long and silky hair, why not let the whole lot grow? What is the point of focusing only on the top part? No rush, we have all day, and we are not going anywhere until we get an answer.
